Whoa! I'm not one bit surprised. Her formulator should've known better and it's very apparent that quality assurance is not in place at Lime Crime. My husband had gotten on me when I had first bought some lilies from them a few years ago. He did make mention that the formula was disgusting and subpar but he didn't go into detail. I think he later went in my drawer and tossed them but we never discussed the topic again. I wonder if anyone has dropped the bomb regarding this in social media because I don't follow LC but if so I'm curious to know what the owner has to say. Thanks for posting this Erica.

Oh yes its all over my FB page Shelley... even Kevin James Bennet posted several times and her instagram page is filled with angry customers! I honestly feel like her amount of customers went down tremendously since everyones mostly too scared to buy her products since the hackings. There's so many liqiud lipsticks on the market now anyways.

I don't know how I missed it considering I follow the official FDA website like a news fiend. I just went on their IG profile and the chatter is heavy there. The owner is saying that it's a simple mis-print on labels. You're so right Kitty...everyone and their mama has a liquid lipstick out. I remember buying my first one a couple of years ago from Hourglass. The only formula that doesn't butcher my lips.

Found the page, and it appears to be LC's Red Velvet Velvetine in question. Definitely doing more research as I own this particular color.
