So some months ago I had my hair dresser put blonde in using a cap. I would now just like to try to get back to brown as close to my natural color I can. As you can see it's pretty outgrown. She is no longer my hair dresser so I plan on doing this my self. I have some decent experience. I'm going to Sally's later to purchase some color. But I'm worried about my roots taking color differently than the blonde. Should I only apply color to the blonde first. Then dye a second time assuming I will have to dye it twice because my blonde probably won't take it too well and dye including my roots?

Your roots will absorb the color much better than the rest of your hair, because it's uncolored.

If I got a color matching my roots, would the rest of my hair come out the same as my roots?

I would also test a strand first before doing your roots.
