So I've noticed little flakes in my hair, and I've tried a couple of dandruff shampoos (head and shoulders and suave) and none seem to help! any other suggestions? I've heard of aloe vera, but I'm kind of scared of scalp buildup. thanks xx

I used to have dandruff and I had to use the medicated one from wal Mart it smells horriable and is drying but it really works. It's in a blue bottle with a red cap I don't remember the name.

T-gel is what I use! I get flare ups of psoriasis (I'm actually going through it right now) and coal tar shampoo is the only thing that works.

Head and shoulders didn't work for you? That's weird, it has never failed me
Did it have that little sticker on it that says "100% flake free"?

I started to get dry patches and a few flakes of dandruff I think. I just put coconut oil right on my scalp where the dry bits are and it seems to help me.

T gel is medicated and contains tar. Honestly, it is rough on hair and smells..although I know it works for some.
To control my flakes from psoriasis, I use Paul.Mitchells Tea Tree Treatment. Tea Tree oil is naturally antibacterial and antifungsl, plus it reduces inflammation and irritation when mixed properly. The treatment has taken guess work out and I find it highly effective. Sally Beauty Supply has a dupe in their generic line that is equally effective. If you have flakes or itching...check it out.
