Well it's beauty because its going l affect my appearance. I unfortunately got a chalazion in my eye. I've NEVER had any kind of eye issues, I've never gotten a stye or this, I'm freaking out cause I saw pictures on google & it grows to a discustingly big size & the worst part takes apparently WEEKS OR MONTHS to go away. I went to te doctor & he confirmed I had that & she just suggested using warm compresses on my eye. I was wondering has anyone been unfortunate enough like me to have this? What did you do? Remedies? Lmao in desperate right now you can't really see it unless I tell you to look closely for something unusual in my left eye but seriously, if it grows out to that size I'm going to cry & hide until it does away 😀😀😀😀😀

I would consider going to an eye doctor or a different doctor than you have because they can prescribe you some medications. I just googled because I've never heard of that but omg treatment options say surgery so I would definitely go see someone other than that dr who just told you to do warm compresses. Sorry girl, hope it gets better!

In the meantime don't wear any makeup and I would throw out any mascaras, eyeliner, lash curlers, etc. so you don't have to worry about contamination!

I had one a couple of years ago...Unfortunately there is no quick fix it took ages for it too go. however if you keep on top of the warm compress as in do it when the doc tells you to do it I.e. once a day, make sure you do it once a day. I made a warm saline solution and did it. apart from that there isnt much else you can do. I also heard getting it removed isnt the best thing as it can come back. I did the warm compress and thanks to God it hasnt come back, thinking about it was in 2009 when I got it. xxx

It was not very nice as it was on my lash line, I used to wear make up regardless and it jst prolonged it I think if you don't wear make up and contacts and do the warm compress properly then I think it won't take as long.x

Well, I, too, had to look this up. From what I understand both size and treatments vary. I fear you are (understandably) thinking worse case scenario...and Google is often an example of just that...the worst and not typical of what you may endure. I have psoriasis, but Google pics scare the hell out of me...lol Were you given any medication? From what I understand warm compresses are indeed a smart idea and you could also consult an eye doctor if it will put you at ease.

As the other ladies suggest, warm compresses should do the trick. But if you're worried, or the size doesn't go down in about a week, see an eye doctor. If they decide to remove it, don't be freaked. It will be done right in the office, and you won't feel a thing. Unfortunately this, like styes, are one of those things that if you get it once, you're more prone to getting it again. If this is a concern, talk to your doctor about silicone duct plugs. I got them for a different condition (they work for a lot of different things) and they are a life saver!

Absolutely important to sanitize your make up! Many don't thin about this step but is absolutely crucial! I get pink eyes and styes easily and this helps ward it off!

Try wearing less makeup, clean your brushes after every use, as the dr suggested...keep the warm compresses on. I suggest any free time you have keep the compress on.
