I have been wanting to try this since I have seen some of yall's recommending this products.

I have some split ends, my hair is due for a trim, and a little frizz but relatively healthy hair. I use salon shampoo, conditioner (has some protein in it) and weekly moisturizing masks.

Would this be okay to use on fine, straight relatively healthy hair? I am wanting to maintain health and make it even better. But would it be too much protein since my conditioner has some protein in it already?

What has your experience been with this product?

Do you use your own conditioner or use the one they suggest (the pink bottle).

I LOVE this stuff!
I have fairly course hair and it's been bleached to a platinum blonde and this stuff has definitely helped a ton.

This stuff only needs to be applied like once every 6 weeks I believe. The stuff in your conditioner has smaller amounts and is meant for everyday whereas this is a treatment and is more potent, you should be fine but you may be able to go longer before your next treatment of it.

Talei, yup! I used both. But I honestly think the 2nd step isn't absolutely necessary. It's basically a moisturizing treatment that claims to balance the PH or something, I don't find it that moisturizing so I mix it with my fave moisturizing mask at the moment an it works great :)

I use them both as well. Like Aurora said I don't think the 2nd step is absolutely necessary but I'm too scared to use something else in its place lol
I just can't get over how hard the 1st step makes your hair feel before you rinse it out.

How long does it take to dry when blowing drying it in?

I have a hooded dryer that sit under.

you will feel the outer layers getting hard within 5 minutes or so but to get your entire head dry will take at least 25 minutes.

I don't have a hooded dryer, would it be okay to use a blow dryer? if so, low or high heat?

My hair is at the middle of my back. I'm going to go to Sally's Saturday and will be doing the treatment that day. I will post my first impressions on this thread.

talei, will you post back here how it worked for you?

I'm really curious how crunchy hair gets with the product in lol

Oooooh, I would never thought of proping up my blow dryer like that! I am going to have to try that.

I wonder if the oil interfered any with the treatment even though you washed it out with shampoo?

I really like a wide tooth comb or the wet brush for doing my hair when it's wet. Walmart has a wide tooth shower comb that has a hook at the end so it can be hanged up that I use.

I just got it from sallys and smelled it from the bottle. That's horrible you got it in your mouth some, it smells horrible lol.

That's a bummer it didn't work as well for your split ends but I'm not sure if there's any product that could fix that problem, sadly.

When I get home from errands, I will let you ladies know how it worked for me.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed experience. It's nice knowing what to expect some so it's not as scary and unkown.

@ Talei...reading your post made me laugh lol

My hair is really short so I didn't have as much of a problem with it dripping all over. One thing I started to do is to put it in my hair while I'm still in the shower. That way as it drips I can just rinse it off. When I'm under the dryer I wrap a small towel around my hairline so it doesn't drip down my face. that's the worst feeling lol

I hate how sticky that stuff gets. I love the idea you had about propping up the dryer.
Trimming your ends will also help tremendously. I'm glad you liked the results.

@ Alura I hope it works for you too!

Reporting back a bit later than I hoped but I finally had the time to do the treatment this morning. It's definitely a very long process.

The products and tools I used for the treatment:
Babylisspro Nano Titanium Portofino Dryer
The Wet Brush
Redken Body Full Shampoo
Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment + ApHogee Balancing Moisturizer
Fekkai Color Technician Hair Mask

The whole process ended up taking about an hour to complete.

First I brushed my hair before getting in the shower to get all the knots out. Then I washed my hair with Redken body full shampoo. I got out of the shower and wrapped my hair in a towel for about five minutes to absorb excess water.

I went ahead and did what you do Nikelle and applied the protein treatment in the tub. It probably took about five or six small handfuls of product to saturate my hair. The stuff is kinda runny, like egg beaters lol It was helpful applying it in the shower because this stuff did run down my back and I did spill some trying to get it into my hair. The smell isn't all too bad but it does have a very distinctive scent.

I started with using a wide tooth comb to help spread the product in my hair but I ended up using my wet brush because the comb wash snagging too much. Using the wet brush made it much easier.

After doing that, I blow dried my hair with the babyliss dryer on high heat, low speed. This was the longest part of it all and my arm was super tired after 20 or 30 minutes of drying. My hair got super hard and was like a helmet by the time I was done lol. I tried to prop up my blow dryer like talei but it wouldn't stay where it needed to.

I got back into the shower and spent five minutes using warm water to rinse out the treatment. Then I used the Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer on my scalp and down the length of my hair, let that sit for 5 minutes. Rinsed it out with cold water. I decided to use the Fekkai mask since you ladies said the step 2 isn't as moisturizing. I used that on the hair at my ears and down, keeping it away from my scalp (since my hair is fine and tenda to get oily if I use masks near the roots) I let that sit for 10 minutes and Rinsed it out using cold water.

After doing the treatment, my hair feels really soft and it doesn't look frizzy at all. I didn't have much of a problem with my ends, so I couldn't say if it made that better but overall my hair looks and feels even better. I think this would work great on processed hair. I'm going to try this on my sister hair and see if it helps with her dryness and ends too.

I forgot to add, this stuff is so sticky! My hair was stuck to my back and everywhere this product got dried tacky. I ended up washing the brush and comb with soap.

I'm so glad to hear both of your processes with this product! as it is great to use it's also a pain...as you both experienced lol
I actually ended up doing a treatment tonight and after reading Alura's post I realized that I totally forgot the 2nd step! lol
I ended up doing a deep conditioner under the dryer so I hope that helps. I'm so lazy I have yet to rinse that out of my hair. hopefully it turns out ok...lol...
