I have recently given DW another chance and I am liking it more this time round. However, it is still a little bit too matte for my liking. My favourite foundation is HD forever. Do you think mixing double wear and HD together would work? As DW is heavy on its own I don't want it to cake. Thoughts?

If it's too matte, try mixing in a bit of liquid highlighter into it, or you could also mix moisturizer or use a luminous primer. These would probably be your best bet. Mixing the two foundations won't do any harm, but it won't make the DW into the HD, it'll mix the two, to get a Demi matte instead of a matte (that is if the HD is a luminous foundation) I would recommend mixing in the liquid highlight, but you could try any of these!

Sadie is spot on! I prefer Double wear Light, but I mix my foundation with MAC Strobe Cream and love the slight pop of pearl without glitter it gives...and how it moisturizes. That little bit of luminousity...even of only in select areas really brightens up my face.

Thank you guys but I don't have any liquid highlighters😩 so mixing it would be okay if I was to do so sparingly right?

Yeah, mixing it would be fine, it won't do any harm, I just don't think it'll give the effect you're looking for, but go for it!

Hey guys! Earlier I mixed the two foundations and the finish was great...I regretted it during removal though as I basically had two foundations on my face lol.
