I am thinking about purchasing 100% jojoba oil. Would it suit my combo skin if I were to use it as a moisturiser at night. Also is it good as a make remover?

I love Jojoba oil. I am a combo but more oily. I use it to control my oily face. It's non-greasy, easily absorbent, smooth and soft. It doesn't have a scent to it too much. So you wouldn't have to have an overwellming smell to it.

I am quite acne prone will this be a huge issue or is it worth a try? I wouldn't say I have severe acne, I'd say it is mild but I easily scar and I am left with brown marks. Doesn't jojoba oil also help reduce pigmentation?

I'd say its worth a try. Its 0 comedogenic. Which means its less prone to acne. I wouldn't say it help ALOT but I would give it a try.

Jojoba oil is meant to be similar to the sebum your body naturally produces, so it shouldn't break you out. But I'm not sure if it helps with pigmentation.
I recommend vitamin c serum for pigmentation or scars

Thanks guys!

You are very welcome!

Also make sure you get it from a good source. Some is fake, and has other chemicals in there. I like the health food store. Better luck there. Than from someone online in Europe or You.States sone where.

I can never find jojoba oil in stores! I will have to look online and make sure it's legit. Thanks for the heads up.

I love jojoba oil! I use it to take my makeup off. I have oily skin and super acne prone skin and it works great.

I am in the UK😞 is it good as a make up remover though? Like could I use it to remove my make up and then just wash my face once and carry on as normal bc sometimes I have to wash my face three times lol.

Jojoba is great with acne, but I'd also consider Evening Primrose and mix it up. Primrose is naturally antibacterial and that's a huge bonus. You should be able to find it at any health store or Vitamin Shop. Good luck!

Are you dealing with acne that's healing? If so I'd hold off a bit, while it's non-comedogenic oils are known for slowing down the healing process of acne. I have acne prone skin and Jojoba oil works great, I normally skip out when I have breakouts that are healing or I'll add 1-2 maximum in my moisturizer so it doesn't interfere too much. I do admit I love Jojoba oil more as a make up remover, especially for mascara and prefer Rosehip oil and Squalane for my skin. Both are much lighter and help even out the skin tone as well.

*I agree with Kitty on rosehip, but you need to be mindful to use broad spectrum sunscreen. I'm excited to try Squalene after my no buy.

Thank you everyone! Today I brought jojoba oil! I haven't yet used it as a moisturiser. However, I did try it as a make up remover and to be honest I wasn't THAT impressed but it did work well with my eye make up. My base not so much but then again I am wearing estee lauder dw so it is a heavy foundation. Kitty, I currently do not have any active acne but I do have a scab from a pimple I had the other day. Surely the oil wouldn't slow down the healing of a scab would it or am I mistaken?

Coconut Oil is best for eye makeup removal. For Foundation, I recommend CeraVe or Philosophy Purity. If you seek to avoid a "wash", Bioderma works rather well. I also use an aloe, alcohol-free toner, but that is personal preference. I use Jojoba after moisturizer..about a good hour after application...and alternate with other beneficial oils.

I wouldnt apply it directly on the spot, I would wait until the scab falls off and its a brown spot then it'll be really helpful with skin tone.
For make up removal, I use Cliniques Cleansing balm. Its a gentle cleansing balm made out of a coconut fat and it removes make up like no other. It comes right off like soap or you can use a warm wash cloth to take it all off without all the oily residue oils leave behind :)
To help remove your base make up with oils I'd use a warm wash cloth as well. All oils need help removing make up so Coconut will be no different than Jojoba.
