I have 2 pimples on my face that are extremely painful. they aren't the kind that come to a white head but the ones that are huge and just straight out painful. is there any way that I can get rid of them?

Those are under the skin pimples. DO NOT TRY TO POP IT (as it will only grow larger and more painful). just wash your face REALLY good tonight, and keep the makeup off until tomorrow. also, I steam my face once and a while to open the pores, and that seems to clear it quite well. it makes your face pink and blotchy, so do it at night. if you need the steps on that, I can help you out, or you can google it

You can do hot compress to help bring it to the surface. It's best to start by getting a microfiber towel (or a regular hand towel) wet with hot water, then set it over your whole face until it cools down- I like to do this about 3 times. Then get a cotton round wet with very hot water and set it on the pimple until it cools down. Again, I like to do this about 3 times.

Make sure you are also washing your face at night! What is your skin routine now? And do you wear makeup?

There's honestly not much you can do for a pimple that's hormonal. just leave it alone for the time being! drink lots of water and green tea.

I totally agree with Ryanne. Hot compress works the best :)

Take some Advil or Ibuprofen as directed for a couple of days. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory as well as a pain reliever. It will help with the swelling, redness and pain. And will help hurry the healing.

These are often dismissed as hormonal or accepted as "X" type of acne, but a derm can do wonders. I had an unknown medical issue a few years back that created an occassional terribly painful bump now and again and they can scar..let alone be insanely sensitive. There is some good advice here, but I'd visit a reputable derm to target the cause, not the symptoms. Green tea, both drinking and rinsing with a cool splash helps as does my Holy Grail spot treatment, Bare Minerals Blemish Therapy. Dries spots quickly and cuts redness. Feel better soon.

I get those too once in a while n agree with RT...following a simple skin routine cleansing&toning n moisterizing helps...my HG toner is witch hazel followed by my Vit C &niacinamide serums...when I have breakouts I use my RX benzamycin after an hour or so on top...lay low on make up to allow skin to breathe n heal...Robert J. is on point with seeing a derm.
I also used red/blue LED light therapy to treat them n healing time is so quick! amazon has a few n range from $60-up in the hundreds but I've used one called the sirius handheld one n works great on me! it seriously alleviate scars and pain from cystic acne! good luck n take care!

I love my LED lights so much I want a room full and bathed in..I'm looking into alternative lighting...amazon has LED for indoor plants but also good for skin..I think they have salons that have this type of light therapy right?

I know my Derms spa offers some form of light therapy, but I've never investigated. I did see the mask at Target, I believe, and was curious. Thanks, Jenny!
