(Sorry if this isn't in the right subject) I'm curious for some recommendations on what I should wear and how I should do my makeup for an audition to be a character in a movie.
I'm wanting to stand out but not wanting to be too loud aesthetically

Well what's your character? mabey the clothes you choose should relate to the personality of the character so you have a better shot at getting the job?

I agree with Ban but don't take it too far, just add a few subtle nuances. For example: if your character is meant to be a femme fatal you might want to use a heavier contour than you would normally, make your face look more angular and go for a lipstick that leans more red possibly in a slightly sheer formula rather than going all out as that might come across a bit "try hard" and select clothes that lean a little sexy while still keeping it casual.
Or you could go very basic, almost like a blank canvas so that the person can "project" that character on you a bit more.

I was thinking that but the character I'm wanting to be is a transgender girl that's a manager at a place pretty much like Hooters

Usually for auditions you should try to be pretty much neutral. Be yourself, so they see how you look, because they need to know what THEIR makeup department would be working with. Wear plain clothes so they can see how you move. Don't limit yourself to a specific character, they might end up preferring you as a totally different character and if you try to typecast yourself they won't be able to see that.

I agree with Emily! For modeling they usually want a blank canvas to see what they can do, so I would think it would be the same for acting as well. They are also wanting to see the acting and not being distracted from what you look like entirely. Good luck!! Let us know how you do!

Thank you Lisa! Yeah, I'll definitely have to go in quite neutral and kinda plain

Isabella, yes! My audition is tomorrow. It's actually quite a small role but still a role, it's for a comedy :)

Where black or brown clothes and go natural with makeup. This lets them know what their working with. Good luck at your audition!!
