So I put this in beauty because it's an all around question. I applied to work at a gentleman's club, not the proudest moment in my life, but I have bills to pay, school to go to, and most importantly babies to feed. So judge if you want to, but I need some advice and help here.
I'm going in for the interview and I'm not sure what to wear. Every job interview I've ever had I've dressed professional and nice, so I don't know why this would be any different. I just feel like it is different because of the industry. So my question is what should I wear, how should I do my hair, shoes, makeup, etc. Thank you so much ladies and I really do appreciate it.

Regardless of the industry or the job you're applying for you should always look professional so dress exactly as you would if you were applying for any other job.

Haha thank you Alexis! I was really hoping to get your feedback on this one :)
I was planning on the same outfit for any other interview, but I figured I'd check with you wonderful ladies first :)

Honestly, I wouldnt dress too professional. you're not going to be working in an office or anything where people are going to expect you to be that kind of professional. definitely go a little better than your casual everyday clothes, but not too far off. I would go for a pair of skinny jeans, heels, & whatever top you have that you feel would go best with the jeans & shoes. because it's a gentlemens club, I would pick a shirt that kind of shows off the girls a bit.. nothing too trashy tho! unfortunately the interviewer - most likely a man - will be judging your body as much as however you answer his questions, so I personally would try to show it off a little bit.
hopefully I've helped a bit.. this is how I would dress if I were going to an interview at a gentlemens club. I'd also probably curl my hair & do a sultry smokey eye look for makeup.

I'm with Sydney on this. I would probably dress professional yet sexy, just because you won't be working at a desk all day, and clearly, the industry is all about looking good. Also, from the people I know, I thought interviews in gentleman's clubs were in an outfit you would wear while working so they can see how you look, but I am most probably wrong. And no need to feel embarrassed or anything!
I would wear: a black dress with heels, hair down curled, neutral eyeshadow and makeup.

I agree with Alexis, treat it like any other job interview, and wear business casual. It occurs to me that they may want to... see what you have to offer, so maybe bring a bikini with you. Just in case you have to change, so you don't have to put on one of the outfits they have on hand if you're uncomfortable with it.

Maybe you could call and ask if it's business casual?

You have nothing to be ashamed of and there's no way I'm going to judge you! I would personally try to go for something sexy, but still classy. A nice pair of jeans, lower cut top, blazer, and heels. I feel like that would still be flattering yet not too casual or over the top. However, I've never been in this situation. I hope you get a reply from someone in the industry. That would probably be more helpful. Good luck!

First off of the best things about this app is no judgement and I'm a big believer in you have to do what you have to do to get though with that being said I not sure which part of your body you're most comfortable about so here are a few ideas

I have a little experience when it comes to this, as my aunt used to work in this area as well (By the way you should never be ashamed! You are/will be doing something that not many can do surprisingly!). When she applied, there were a couple others there for an interview on the day of hers. One or two dressed incredibly professional. Skirt to the knees, no real cleavage and no real tightness. My aunt dressed in a rather tight fitted black dress (Not overly fancy, just like you're going to a nicer lunch or whatnot) with about 4inch heels. Some thin gold jewelry, makeup on the more dramatic side, and hair in a half up half down with kinda messy curls. While she didn't show everything she had, she showed things they'd most likely want to see before hiring you. Your waist and figure, your chest (this one doesn't matter as much), butt, legs, etc. She was hired that day, while others had a more difficult time because the employers weren't able to see what they needed to. Yes it's rather mean to hire someone based on their figure and such, but it's what happens. Like modeling, they tend to go for a certain body type or look, depending on what they need at the moment. Your attire also depends on the atmosphere of the place you applied at. Where my aunt worked, it was more of a kick back place. Like if it was waitressing, she applied to a small town pub & grill rather than something like Olive Garden where the atmosphere is more professional. I hope this gives you some help! Xx

I respectfully completely disagree with Alexis and Kailey. I've worked at a upscale gentlemans club, so I know what goes down in there and know what the owners say behind doors. if you dress business casual your chances of getting hired will be decreased by about 70%. Owners will say and think your too conservative and shy to show off those curves. You should NOT wear flowy clothes, anything less than skin tight skinny jeans, or any outfit that doesn't show off the body. Definitely a tight body hugging dress, color of your choice, I wore pink. With HIGH heels, no little heels, they want to see how well youll be able to walk/dance around in very high heels. I wore silvery ones. The higher the better. Hair curled or straight, and makeup doesn't really matter, just make sure it doesn't look sloppy in any way ( like when black eyeliner goes in your inner corner and it just looks ugly) personally I did a silver shimmer gradient eye with eyeliner and a lip that kind of matched my dress.
No shame, just know its a very very veeeery competitive industry, a lot of the girls are not nice and will try to make you feel less pretty than them at all times. I worked in a upscale 5 star club, and still gentleman, scratch that. Men there, will degrade you and you will have some very strange experiences. The money is amazing though I must say. good luck

So I have a little experience with this area as I worked in a gentleman's club for about 6 months. I agree with Sydney and Niki that you should wear something that makes you feel sexy/professional. At the end of my interview I was asked to get up on stage and show them what I had to offer. I was prepared and had brought a few outfits/costumes with me (you should do the same) and they gave me 20 minutes to go prepare myself for the stage. For my makeup I did a winged liner and a nude lip, but really just do whatever makeup look that makes you feel the sextet and most confident. For hair I usually wore it in long loose curls. Oh and I almost forgot, the place I worked at didn't allow you to wear "outside" shoes on stage, they had to be new shoes that were only for use while you were working. Hope I helped and best of luck landing the job girl!

Wow. I did honestly not expect this much feedback. Or that much acceptance.
So j apologize for taking so long to get back to everyone. Thank you all so much for your feedback and input. I really appreciate the feedback from the former employees, also.
I am actually looking forward to the job interview. They told me later today business casual, but to try to flaunt it. So I'm going to look into a few ideas you wonderful ladies suggested that would flaunt my body.
Again, thank you for the feedback and input. I am so very grateful.

Hi Emily good luck on the interview and I think the ladies gave you some great advice! I just wanted to jump in and let you know that an all around question like this do belong in the style section and not beauty :) I saw you were unsure so I just wanted to let you know :) The reason it goes in style is because an all around question is a question about style - We know many users only see style as a fashion section but style is so much more :)
