I have extremely sensitive skin and some makeup brands (Almay is the worst for me) give me rashes because I'm allergic. What have you tried and what types of makeup are you interested in? Everything or just eyes, lips, foundations, etc.?

I have very sensitive skin and I'm badly allergic to Maybelline (I get rashes, my skin swells up and it feels like it's burning and bubbling and is boiling hot to touch). I love brands such as NYX, Liz Earle, Urban Decay, Clarins and No7 as I find they're very gentle on my face and don't cause rashes or anything I get with Maybelline products.

Try Physician's Formula. That line is supposed to cause less reactions than your average makeup line. Also, Clinique and maybe Tarte.

You should try to figure out exactly what you are sensitive to - so a dermatologist can probably help you to figure it out - otherwise I personally have found that more high end brands are better for my personal sensitivities (mainly acne and psoriasis) so you can try to start with brands that were made for sensitive skin like Clinique, Estée Lauder, and coverFX.

Try make up with out talc!! My skin use to break out like crazy before switching to physicians formula talc free line! It's amazing but it can be pricey. In my opinion it's so worth it. My skin has never looked better!

Have you considered going to an Allergist to find out what ingredient you're allergic to? Hypoallergenic is a marketing term, allergies are allergies whether its labeled or not.. It'd make it easier for to find what you need. For example, BareMinerals uses Bismuth Oxychloride which can be irritating to your pores, and constant irritation can help contribute to break outs. You could also phone your dermatologist or another derm and see if they offer any cosmetic lines. They're usually catered to sensitive, post procedure skin types without any unecessary irritants.
I'd also spot test before trying out any product and like Diana said, aim more torwards make up lines catered to skin care. Clinique and CoverFX are both great brands, Tarte is pretty nice too.
