So last night my friend slept over and we did hair masks. I can't remember the brand tho hers was papaya and mine was coconut. Mine was supposed to help volume for weak, dry and fine hair. Ever since I used it my hair has been super greasy and horrible. I can usually go about 3-4 days before my hair gets greasy but I only washed it yesterday morning so it hasn't even lasted a day,I'm just wondering what the problem could be thanks xxx

Did you wash it out properly? Some hair masks can take ages to fully wash out.

Oil and volume often don't mix. Coconut Oil is indeed fantastic for softening hair and adding shine, but takes a thorough washing (I wash mine twice immediately afterward) to remove the product. I'd just wash it again and use a light hand with conditioner since you just gave it a deep conditioning. I personally don't oil the scalp, but of you still find your hair to be oily, a little cornstarch on the scalp or dry shampoo should do the trick. Good luck!

That has been my experience when I used coconut oil in my hair, it took forever to wash it out! Now I only use the Pro Naturals argan oil hair repair mask. I apply it liberally and put a think towel soaked in water in the microwave for a few seconds and wrap it around my hair for 15 mins, then rinse my hair with warm water. Leaves my hair feeling really soft and smooth.
