Hair Color Removal...Red To Brown??

Ii dyed my hair bright red and I HATE it! Underneath the red I have highlights. Will getting the color stripped work even if I have highlights or will my hair just turn orange? I'd really like to go back to my natural color of dark brown and leave it that way for a while.

Red is one of those colors that's tricky to get out. The bad thing about color extractors is that there isn't a guarantee as to how its going to turn out, but the result will most likely be really warm. It would be: best to go to a professional, Or else you'll risk having an auburn or copper toned brown if you tried coloring it yourself.
