Cetaphil moisturizing cream! I had the same problem then I bought this cream and applied it generously at night and my flaky skin was gone! Now I wake up every morning with smooth, supple skin (:

You might also want to exfoliate before using a cream the night before.

I have patches of dry skin and found that brushes tend to cause further flakiness / micro exfoliation when applying foundation. Believe it or not, using a damp sponge instead helped a lot! I've officially retired or repurposed my foundation brushes. And don't forget to moisturise!

Use moisturizer before u go to bed and before u put ur make up on! It makes the world of difference! Also get cetaphil and if u are using any acne treatments or anything cut back because that might be the main thing to this whole problem!

i had awful flaky skin! now I have none. I remove my make up with same natural oil (coconut) than I scrub my face with oatmeal than as a toner I se green tea and finally I mix macadamian oil with glycerine and it gives me super effects! seems like crazy but it is worth it :)

Try a toner before your moisturizer! It takes off any flakes and it further cleanses your skin

Omg! I just discovered Covergirl simplyageless foundation, the one in the pot! It is amazing! I have dry skin right now, but i think it would be great for all types! I may have to do a review on my beauty channel, graceandglamor! It's great!

I just started using Simple Replenishing moisturizer because it's been unbelievably dry here, and it's totally helped my dry, flaky skin. Remember to exfoliate a couple times a week to get rid of the dry skin. Also, what are you using to apply the foundation? I love my stippling brush but I find sometimes it makes my flakes worse, because it causes a bit of microexfoliation while I'm applying my foundation.

I would exfoliate than use a moisturizer afterwards. I know what you mean, my face is extremely dry also. I switched from the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion to the Ponds dry skin cream and that worked really well for me. It's a much thicker consistency to!
