I wasnt sure what to put it under, but today on Dr Phil theres 2 girls with self confidence issues. The first girl is 21 I think, and is absolutely beautiful. She picks at her face for hours, everyday, so much so that she has scoliosis from sitting on her bathroom sink for so long. Idk, to me its very sad and devestating, but also interesting. Its beauty related so I figured I'd share to anyone else interested.

Yea I do that but I don't sink in my bathroom sink. I just have my mirror, tweezers and blackhead remover tool. Idk why but picking helps relieves stress but its a vicious cycle cuz I make my skin really bad then I get depressed about it so I have to pick again. Or I have to put on tons of makeup to cover up. Therapy and meds help a bit.

I watched this too....I had tears in my eyes throughout the whole hour...I am 37 and i have a beautiful 15 year old daughter. When I was growing up school was hard... I too never felt pretty enough or thin enough .... Picked and picked my face I felt embarrassed to go anywhere without makeup... ( Mabye that's why I am a mua) I can only imagine how life is for all our teens now!!!! Please remember all of u are beautiful in your own special way.... Do not feed into tv.... Print... Models.... They all have an arsenal of people helping them look that way..........

Julie thats so sweet and inspirational! I also wish more girls knew this. The media is getting pretty bad with showing these young girls what their idea of beautiful or sexy is. I wish more girls would feel beautiful in their own skin, and not succomb to bullying or media.

ladies can I just something Kim k is not a person to look up to she is fake...I am saying because a lot of women/girls think that wearing 50lbs of makeup is beauty and its not...honestly honestly I think that EVERYONE is beautiful ladies don't be so insurcure and have CONFIDENT be your self smile...so what if you have ance its NORMAL everyone gets it so what if idk you have a big nose or idk something else so what that is who YOU....anyone on a cover or anything like that has been edited and photoshop its not real but you are...so smile and feel good abt your self you are a REAL person and REAL people have flaws embrace them they make YOU who YOU are

I really like that quote. :) I just was in awe that these girls were on the extreme end of the spectrum. They wanted to take their own lives because they thought they were too ugly or hidious. Idk if i spelled that right, but still. To me its really sad and just really upsetting. I feel like only a limited amount of people see that society is really doing this to young girls. Not just young girls, women in general too. Its ridiculous to me.

I don't think Kim K is a role model at all, but not because of how much make up she wears. But because she had her own sex tape (I doubt she didn't have at least something to do with its release).
To me, Kim K seems a lot like Paris Hilton. They look nice, they have nice bodies, but no real talent it seems. They also both seem shallow and hungry for attention all the time.
I might be wrong, because I don't know them in real life, but this is the impression the media has given me.
PS: You can tell Kim Kardashian has had rhinoplasty, cheek fillers, and god knows what more. The pictures just don't lie, you should see the pictures ofher when she was really young, her nose was gigantic compared to what it is now, there's barely a nose left. The bridge of the nose is so thin, it's kind of Michael Jackson like to me. I just really think she looks much older now than what she used to look like. But this is strictly just MY opinion and my thoughts about this. I personally am not into plastic surgery, but hey, never say never. Maybe some day I'll have a few kids and want to have something done, so I'm not really judging Kim K for all the surgeries she's so blatantly had.
I just wish these celebrities would be honest and open about what they do to their faces. Why lie about it when it's so obvious? Do you guys remember when Ashlee Simpson had a nose job and pretty much the whole world could tell? Yet she was still lying, saying she had done nothing to her nose. Then later she openly talks about it in an interview.... I HATE liars .
