Jessica, I have to say I disagree : / Their foundations are so thick and cakey, UGH! Never bought one, it was enough to try it at the store, just too thick for me.

But some of their eyeshadows are really striking, long lasting and pigmented.

First of all Mac is not an everyday to wear makeup for the heck of it. Mac cosmetics is more of a party big event photoshoot pro makeup. That's why it's thick and heavy because its full coverage
