Beauty Product Reviews

I have tried all the HC primers, the regular perfecting one, the illuminating one, and this one, and this light formula is my favorite by far. Just picked up my 2nd tube, so that is saying something. I have dry, maturing skin so I actually like the slip of this primer, it makes my skin feel silky soft and even, but I can see how oily-skinned gals may not like that slip. It makes my foundation go on smoothly as it does fill in pores and fine lines quite well, and it does enhance the staying power of my makeup too. Have not tried high end primers yet, but as long as this one works, why spend extra $$$?

Expensive and way too sparkly!

I gave this a try, first in Light, then in Medium (I'm NC10-15 for reference) and I didn't like the way this first applied (it dries too quickly for me to be able to spread it around properly) and when it dried, my legs looked like someone had taken a bedazzler to them-no joke! There was way too much sparkle in there for my taste, and though the color was ok, I do not like paying $16 and change for glitter-covered legs! Will be swapping away, so let me know if interested.

Perfect for softly defined, full yet natural looking lashes

Not very volumizing, but I prefer natural lashes for everyday and save the thick lashes for going out. This mascara is perfect for work or weekends where casual is key, but I still want to look pulled together. It leaves lashes soft and flexible, not brittle like so many wp mascaras do. It does seem to smudge a bit in the heat on the lower lashes, so not totally water/sweatproof, but still a staple in my makeup bag.

Perfect for bottom and hard to reach lashes

What can I say? The formula is good, the brush is great and can catch and define those lashes at the inner corners as well as the bottom lashes which a big, thick brush cannot do as well. Another staple in my makeup bag.

Walking on Eggshells

Perfect palette for the no-fuss, no muss, everyday neutral eye. Pigmentation and staying power is a-ma-zing, and considering it costs less than $5CDN, it has become a staple in my makeup bag, I just love it!

I first bought two, one in Heavenly and one in Rapture. I prefer Heavenly, it is close to MLBB and can also be used (on my light skin) as a cream blush. Today I bought Romance, after a review from a YouTube beauty guru (Kayleigh, foreveryours0727). These have a creamy texture and I find dabbing it on the lips and then rubbing it in with my finger creates a nice "stain" which can last a few hours, especially with a balm over top. I just wish they weren't almost $12CDN, which seems a bit pricey for a drugstore lipstick! But the packaging and pigmentation are high-end quality, so I don't mind so much, I just need to be choosy with which ones to buy, since I can't try/buy them all!

Beautiful, long-lasting, natural ingredients a bonus!

I have this in Blissful and it is my HG everyday peachy/coral summer blush color. It is matte, which is what I want, and very pigmented, so I need to use a light hand on my fair skin or it can quickly become too bright (therefore is certainly buildable for those with more medium skintones). It is a bit pricey, but still better quality and durability (in my opinion) than Nars or MAC blushes, and when I hit pan, I will re-purchase, though I might try a different color next time.
