Beauty Product Reviews

Pretty, does the job, but not great

I couldn't resist the gorgeous packaging despite my low expectations of the product

When you first open it, you WILL freak out over how pretty and fancy the packaging looks.. beautiful golden glimmery highlighter with BEAUTIFUL eyeshadow colors. But.. the highlighter is a bit too chalky and glittery to look natural (unlike Dior's highlighter). If it were more sheer and less glittery-filled, I'd adore it because it matches my skin tone perfectly. The eyeshadow products are not pigmented at all... I'd say they'd be like a lower-end drugstore eyeshadow. The colors are beautiful and only show up when packed on heavily over primer. It's not terrible though, just harder to work with and lacks that pizzazz.

Amazing!

I actually have the blush/bronzer duo (the Nars orgasm/laguna dupe) and it works wonders! It's pigmented and glides on my cheeks perfectly, and the color's amazing. It's not too light or dark for the bronzer, & the blush is so versatile and perfect on any skin tone. it gives me just the right amount of color!

Terrible :(

It's watery and "erases" on itself when I attempt to apply a second layer. I think I've bought it twice to give it a second go, and ended up chucking in the trash both times. For $1 I guess you can't blame e.l.f. but my $3 Essence eyeliner pen does the job just fine so I don't see what's up with e.l.f.'s. Sigh.

AMAZING! better than coastal scents!

I swatched and played around with a few of the shades since it actually belongs to my best friend, but I freaking love this! 144 colors is a great deal for only $15, and on top of that, the colors are silky smooth and pigmented. They're not super chalky and chunky like the Coastal Scents 88 palette, and has a good mix of shimmery, pearl, matte, etc. shades so that you don't have too many flat colors or too many super frosty colors.

Terrible!

I got 3 books for $10 and gifted 2 to a friend and kept this one. And honestly, the shadows are terrible! They're so sheer (most of them barely show up on my hand), too glittery and chunky, or too chalky.. all around they're terrible and NOT worth the $5 (Or even the $3.33 if y ou get 3 books for 10)

AMAZING! must have!

I received this for my 17th birthday gift and freaked out :) I absolutely love it! The colors are great for every day, but you can also easily glam up any look for a night out :)

The shadows are so creamy, pigmented, and smooth. the color selection is gorgeous and even caters to my asian skin tone, which I LOVE. I feel like it suits any eye shape or skin color, and it's perfect for any occasion. And with 12 shadows you can literally come up with infinite combinations to create any look :)

Does its just but way too much $$

I don't have particularly oily lids or wear my eyeshadow for the whole day so maybe this is why it's just a mediocre product to me Because honestly Elf's $1 primer does the SAME exact job for 1/20th of the price! How can you beat that right?

Cute but doesn't work well

It has an adorable packaging but the product itself is.. eh. Maybe I'm biased because I don't like waxy lip balms (Chapsticks vs. jelly-like lip balms you dip your finger into) because they're just not that moisturizing and they taste waxy and gross when it accidentally slides into your mouth.

At least it doesn't slide into my mouth that much but it's not that moisturizing. It's just cute and handy for on the go but honestly it doesn't do much. AND when you get to the bottom, putting it on your lips hurt :(
