Beauty Product Reviews

I like it but...

I was excited to see this on the Benefit make up counter. They have an amazing range of make up here in the Middle East but make up for fairer skin tones can be hit and miss. I really liked the idea of a tinted moisturiser. It is a lot thicker than my MAC studio fix foundation which was surprising. It also made my eye water a little when I applied it a little too close. It needs to be applied with a brush (like the real techniques buffing brush) just like foundation. It is a nice colour, has a yellow undertone. But I haven't reached for it as often as I would like as there is quite a strong smell. Not bad.

MAC eyeshadow

MAC eyeshadow - I have to stay away from the MAC counter because now I am just buying colours for the sake of it. I love them all! They are such good quality and do not clump into little powder if you HAPPEN to not take your make up off after a night out.(Which of course I would never do...) They do not fade, they blend (mostly) easily. I love them. Yes I do.

Nice but not every brush is what I need

I bought this range mainly for the deluxe crease brush. There is a similar one in the bobby brown range. It's wildly expensive out here and I did a bit of research and found that Real techniques has a similar one in its kit. It's a great brush. It mimics the finger tips so great for applying loose powder over eye primer or blending highlighters but I wish it was sold separately. The other brushes are nice but as they are synthetic they do not hold powder product as well as MAC or smashbox brushes. The eyeliner brush is hard to work with but good for special effects make up or even facepainting. However the whole kit is still cheaper than the bobbi Brown brush I was after. So I am happy !

Good pigment

I have four shades in this range. I adore them for my kit. However, as with the eyeshadows, when you use your blusher brush, an awful lot of powder is generated. I have found them to be quite powdery, but not a problem as long as you are aware of that. Inglot are very popular here in the Middle East and offer a great range of colours. Just be aware of the powder fall out when applying.

Love them

I have to say I am a beauty snob when it comes to brushes. Brushes out here in the Middle East are expensive - as they are usually imported. I ordered this set through Aramex from America (as ironically it was half the price of the uk) via amazon. I was not expecting that much but I was pleasantly surprised. (I had done a lot of research on Youtube - but seeing is believing). The contour brush and the buffing brush are amazing. The buffing brush gives an air brush effect. When your foundation is applied with a stippling brush and then buffed in with this brush the finish is perfect. They are easily cleaned and sturdy. I bought a set for my kit. I have to be honest. I haven't used the smaller brushes. There are other ones of similar shape that I prefer. But the whole kit is worth it for the contour and the buffing brush.

Good quality and price

I have quite a few of these eye shadows for my make up kit. I like them and the colour range is fantastic. However, they are quite powdery and you will need a good quality brush to control the fall out in the pan. The pigment is impressive. I found that they do have good staying power. They are not as good as MAC or Estee lauder BUT they are fantastic quality. And the colour range is amazing. The worst thing about the freedom system is that you have to make sure you note the number of the product as those magnets are really strong and it's hard to shift them around (almost impossible for me) once they are arranged in the palette. It is also hard to know what the number of the colour is.

Love this Palette

I love this palette. There is a little fall out when applying. But the colour quality is great and this palette is really versatile. It's perfect if you are trying to build up your make up collection or for your kit and you need a lot of neutrals with some shimmer.
