Beauty Product Reviews

I have been a huge fan of Sonia G Brushes since the day I stumbled across them. I loved the limited edition Traditions Holiday brushes so I was excited to give this series a try. Of course I fell in love the second I opened the box. The Kakishibu technique used on the bristles is beautiful and the saikoho goat bristles is super soft yet durable. The range of shapes in this set will cover virtually every need you may have to create whatever look you are aiming for. I am always drawn to any of her brushes she releases using the Keyaki wood so I definitely hope to see more in the future.

Beautiful Addition

This is a breathtakingly beautiful addition to any Fude lovers collection. The bristles are super soft but still firm enough to be versatile for many uses. Is it a must have? Absolutely not. But it’s definitely a splurge you won’t regret as it’s not only unique but it truly is functional.

Excellent

So much has already been said about this brush so I won’t be a broken record. For me this works amazingly with glitter or metallic pigments both with the amount of product it picks up as well as how well it deposits that product. It applies better than the finger method because it is able to be very precise and easily build the intensity with little to no fallout. It handles the glitter/shimmer heavy shades in my Pat McGRATH Mothership V palette with ease and allows the actual base color of the pigment shine almost as much as the glitter/shimmer.

I’ve seen the mentions of the handle being super thick and yes it is. Does take a little getting used to but it’s really not an application hinderance as much as a “my other brushes aren’t like this so it feels wrong” thing. As for the complaints about the feral...honestly if you’re managing to touch the feral to your eyelid during application you need to adjust the angle that you’re using to apply. It will help out a lot. I know for some that probably sounds like more work than you should have to do but if you are used to using a variety of makeup brushes (not just mainstream popular lines) you may realize that technique is different often. Not everyone will love this brush and that’s fine, but definitely try some of the suggestions before really deciding if it’s just not for you. You may be surprised
