Beauty Product Reviews

I was supposed to buy a second one but it's sold out

Such a beautiful brush. Bigger and better than what I was expecting. It is so functional too. This made other saikoho face brushes feel overpriced to be honest. Super soft and smooth saikoho. I wanted to get another one so I have a backup because I really want to use and enjoy it.

Best brush for glitter eyeshadow toppers

I have a lot of laydown brushes for the eyes from Sonia G and this is the best one for products like the cream to metal/glitter eyeshadows from Huda Beauty palettes. Works like a dream better than using fingers.

What I was looking for!

I already have the Sculpt 2, and Fan pro as my highligter brushes. I love the Sculpt 2 for hard pressed baked gelee type of formula like Charlotte Tilbury' Bar of Gold palette or the unique powder formula of Nars highlighters. I use the Fan pro for cream to powder formulas like Benefit's cookie highlighter because the brush is stiff enough, dense and very very smooth. Both brushes are too strong for Tom Ford duo highlighters and Ofra highlighters. Sculpt 3 is the perfect brush for these because it is soft enough to just give a natural and even highlight effortlessly.

Just OK

Such a nice design. But I just realized that I am just not a fan of Hakutotsuho goat hair. Kind of feels like the tiny brushes that comes with Benefit blushes. I have very sensitive skin and I find this uncomfortable when using it. Sadly, I won't be reaching for this brush :(

Not what I was expecting

These brushes especially the medium one stinks so bad. No matter how many times I wash it. Hair is falling out too. Both when I was washing it and when I was using it. It also splays too much. The type of hair doesn't suit the design. Not dense enough to do anything. The medium isn't good for anything but maybe a very very very light dusting of powder which isn't special because I already have brushes in my collection for that purpose. The big brush is just ok. Soft but not smooth. Chikuhodo Z8 is much better. Only the smallest one in this collection is forgivable. It doesn't have a very strong bad smell anymore after several washes. It is very smooth and yet have enough spring back to it. Ultimately, I cannot recommend this collection. Save your money and get others like the Chikuhodo Z series instead. If you have them already, there's no need to get these.

It stinks

I have a lot of Japanese brushes but this one really stinks no matter what wash or how many I do with it. I wanted to use this to softly contour my nose but it is making me gag and this splays out too much. Practically useless.
