Beauty Product Reviews

Worth the $8

I purchased this at Wal-Mart today because of the hot weather's negative effect on my makeup and skin and I am super pleased with it! I am extremely fair and this is fair enough and sheer enough to go over any makeup, and it really does what it advertises. I've never really been too disappointed with a Hard Candy product, though.

Not what I expected.

I paid just under $9 for it and I cannot say I would have spent $1 on it. The product is much darker than advertised, even the lightest shade is too dark for me, it smells like sunscreen when it is applied, and it ends up smelling sort of metallic, and it's not pleasant. The colour finish is orange and it looks extremely cakey. It comes out this sort of light texture, but as soon as you attempt to apply it, it turns to this watery, sort of pigmented liquid. I'm very disappointed in this product.

Build-able coverage with a flawless finish

I was a little apprehensive about the product before I bought it, as it is hard to match my skin tone and some days, I need a little more coverage. I've been using the product for about a week now and if I do need extra coverage, a little concealer before helps quite a bit. I took the lid off and I'm using my kabuki brush with it, I think that's the easiest way to use it, although that might make it a little more messy.

Aside from the cream color, this palette is perfect!

I -love- blues and this was my first time buying a Kat Von D palette, based on this, I'm going to buy many more. I love the pigmentation and the sparkly dark blue is my favorite out of all the colors. The set includes a wonderful matte black that can be used in many looks. I would highly recommend it, only I would warn that the cream color is totally useless.

Long lasting, spicy yet sweet

I just love this, the complaints that it is not long lasting, I think might be inaccurate because after a while we stop smelling the fragrance, but that does not mean it has left. I put some on at five in the morning, just a little on my wrists and neck and 12 hours later, I started my shift at work and my manager complimented me on it.

I've used this product for contouring and it works for what I want it to. I love the smell. It's best to remember that a little goes a long way and to build up the shade you want with light coats.

For the price, this glitter just cannot be beat. I bought the white based glitter a few months back and except for a horrible spill in my makeup bag, I love this product. The brush that comes with it is a little useless, but the glitter is wonderful. It really creates flashy, noticeable results. I've used it in my hair and I've used it on my chest when going out to the club.

This product is great for it's price, and it really helps finish foundation and can be used to add a glowing look to the neck, chest and wherever else. I would likely buy this again.

Not much pigment, but loud glitter.

The green one is the one I bought and it was for a Bellatrix Lestrange tutorial that I did back last November. I wasn't super impressed with the pigmentation, but it was exactly what I needed. The glitter was great at creating the look I wanted and the green was just subtle enough to work with the look. The packaging is great, too.

I have the blue and green eyeshadows and I'm a pretty big fan, with a good primer, they don't crease and the color is highly pigmented. The applicator isn't the best thing ever, but that doesn't take much away from the product.
