pricey for a good cause, decent biodegradable wipes

These wipes have natural ingredients and are biodegradable. Portions of each purchase go towards a earth-friendly cause for helping the polar bears. These have a citrus smell to them that reminds me of a Japonesque brush cleaner that I hated, so I don't like the smell of them. The wipes themselves feel clothy and thin (probably because they're biodegradable). The packaging says that the wipes are gentle on the skin, but they are too gentle for removing eyeshadows applied wet, eyeliner and waterproof mascara. It should be noted that the wipes do not claim to remove waterproof makeup though. Overall, they are decent wipes, but 12$ is too expensive for what I want my makeup remover wipes to do. If you look at the attached photo, I used one wipe to remove as much as possible from the top half of a bunch of swatches. It removes most products (list of those used here: <a href='http://bit.ly/hvK5HB' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'>http://bit.ly/hvK5HB</a>) except waterproof mascara (which barely budged and smudged even with serious rubbing).

good value

I actually really like the primer. Its color in the pot is nude, but applies clear once you rub it on. A little bit goes a very long way and it works great as a sticky base. Using too much can lead to some eyeshadow migration throughout the day. I absolutely love the packaging it comes in, the box and the actual primer's, especially the really cute bow decal on the top of the cap. Some people might complain that it is not in the most sanitary packaging, but I don't mind it at all. That issue is easily remedied by using clean fingers and/or brushes for application. The texture is creamy and smooth, and I prefer to use my fingers to melt it across my eyelids when applying. Plus, I like being able to see how much product I have left, which I can't say about either my Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Price wise, it is 17$ for 0.25 oz which is comparable to other primers that are 18$ for 0.34-0.35 oz of product. I like the primer best with loose eyeshadows rather than pressed ones. Attached photo is of swatches of the primer (hard to photography since it's a nude color).

good value

Though I did like these eyeshadows, I was least impressed with them in terms of pigmentation compared to the Double Sparkle (D.S.) and Pearl ones. I only own three AMC eyeshadows: AMC 63 - matte black, decent application AMC 65 - black with multi-colored sparkles (reminds me of a pressed version of Sugarpill's Stella), can clump a bit in application, buildable AMC 67 - soft navy blue with sparkles, the least impressive application (out of these 3 AMC shadows), had to layer to get decent swatch Attached photo is a close-up of 65 and 67.

only 1 good eyeshadow, disappointed

The eyeshadows: Snow Angel (shimmery silver blue) - one of the two better shadows, decent pigmentation; Icicles (muted matte navy blue) - I don't know what it is about Stila's mattes and blues that keep falling short or why the pan dulled to a weird color after use, terrible pigmentation, difficult to swatch; Glisten (shimmery gold) - best pigmentation out of the four eyeshadows, smooth application; Ajax (matte black with gold glitter) - the glitter is flaky and a lot of it ends up adding to fallout, pigmentation is not impressive at all. The convertible color in Rosy is nice and is comparable to Sakura from the Trendsetting in Tokyo palette. Unlike Sakura, Rosy did not leave behind a stain on my skin. Overall, I thought I would like this palette, but most of the eyeshadows really disappointed me. Also, I have enough dupes of the gold color that doesn't make this palette worth the 10$ even with the convertible color. I added another photo that shows what the eyeshadows look like after being used (specifically to show the dulling of Icicles & Ajax's fallout).

2 lackluster shadows, still worth it

The eyeshadows: Sake (shimmery beige) applies smoothly, has good pigmentation; Kawai (shimmery light pink) also applies smoothly, has good pigmentation; Shibuya (matte blue) had streaky application, was hard to build up color; Peace Sign (slightly shimmery black) applied like a matte shadow, wasn't as streaky as Shibuya, but was still hard to build up color for me. The convertible color in Sakura is limited edition, creamy, applies smoothly, very buildable in terms of color, and stains the skin a little. In terms of value, I say it's worth it just for the convertible color. Normally an individual convertible color costs 25$ for 0.15 oz of product and you're getting 0.09 oz of Sakura with this palette.

different colors will wear differently

Personally, I only own two Lime Crime lipsticks, so I can only tell you about Centrifuchsia (3 stars) and Airborne Unicorn (4 stars). Centrifuchsia is a dark hot pink and Airborne Unicorn is a soft lavender shade. They both have a scent of vanilla, apply easily and have decently creamy textures on the lips. They also accentuate dryness on the lips, but I feel that way about any kind of lipstick so that's not really a particular problem for me. Airborne Unicorn felt a lot creamier which I liked, but it's also the newer lipstick (not sure if that makes a difference though). The main thing I would complain about is the staining Centrifuchsia leaves behind. I personally do not like lipsticks that stain, so if I wear it, I usually layer a light pink lipstick underneath before I apply. I also think that they are a bit expensive for their quality.

tricky color, stains

Medusa can be a tricky color to use. Dry, it looks matte black with very subtle hints of blue sparkles, but once it's wet, it looks like an almost-black blue. I definitely prefer the latter version of the color since I feel as though that is what the color is intended to look like. It's a lot prettier and vibrant applied wet. After removal, Medusa also stains my skin and leaves behind a light blue, which I don't like. Also, if 'Magic Dusts' aren't discounted or on sale, they are individually priced at 14$ which is too expensive for the amount of product you receive.

tokidoki fan

Given that I have been a tokidoki fan for years now, I just have a few nitpicks about this palette. "Forbino" should be spelled "Furbina," Romeo is more of a cranberry color, Arrosto looks like a matte black to me, and Furbina looks like a darker Arrosto with purple sparkles. The shimmery shadows are better in pigmentation than the few mattes, but overall it is a good palette with variety. If you haven't tried tokidoki eyeshadows, I think this palette will give you a taste of what they are like and of another product in their line as well (specifically the Perfetto eyeliner for me). Plus, I love the reusable packaging and magnets. Regarding the shadows, I am really only disappointed with 3 out of the 12 them which makes it a decent purchase for me.

good stain, terrible packaging

I would like this a lot more if the packaging was more appropriate. Stila constructed them to resemble their lip glazes and I don't agree with it at all. You can't control how much product you use with it and the brush applicator makes strokes of product very obvious considering how fast it dries.

Other than that, it smells yummy and is a great stain if you're looking for long wear. I suggest using a brush and put some product on a palette or something else rather than using its actual packaging.

lovely palette, hate the gloss

This palette has gorgeous eyeshadow colors that are both matte and shimmery. They are all a bit faint, but buildable and apply smoothly.

Two shades I'd like to point out are Label Whore and Ooh Aah. Label Whore is a duochrome with dark green shimmer over a reddish brown undertone that is also (I think) a dupe for the green in the Color Icon Night Elf palette from Wet & Wild. Ooh Aah is another pretty color that is a silvery blue which might not be obvious from my swatch.

I love that the set comes with a full-sized Shadow Insurance, a nice blush and bronzer. The only thing I didn't like was the Glamour Gloss because it's one of those lip-plumping ones and it didn't help that the brush was all flared out when I received it. The color of it is very pretty, but I personally don't like how lip-plumping products feel.
