Beauty Product Reviews

In between

I got one to try when I was is Australia (This isn't readily available where I live), and got the shade Twilight-a deep berry color. I like that the balm was included to counter the dryness of the stain. And I love berry lip-anythings and from what I've seen, I quite like the shades that this comes in. And as a fan of the Twilight saga, I found the names that came with this product quite amusing. However, this is definitely one of the harder stains to work with. Because of this, I didn't use it very much at first. But after a bit of experimenting, I find that the best way to apply this is to use the balm first, then applying the stain evenly with short, quick strokes, using a finger to blend it a little before it dries, and finally, top it off with a bit of gloss to counter any of that patchiness. Sometimes, I find I quite like the bitten look though. So I can't say I hate it, but I'd probably only repurchase if it's on sale.

best purchase yet!

I'm absolutely in love with this product! This (and Benetint) is really all I need to start my day. Forget a full face of makeup! I swipe this around my inner corners to brighten up my eyes, on my waterline to really open them up, and then on my browbone, above my cheek bone, on the bridge of my nose and my cupid's bow as a highlight. I love how this pencil is cute enough to bring around and small enough to toss into any purse. The price is a little on the expensive side, but it doesn't require sharpening often and will probably last for longer than enough to pay its dues. A must have in any purse, bag or box!

Very pretty.

I like it very much on my fair skin, although I think it would work on a medium skin tone as well. This blush gives me a lovely doll-face flush without overdoing it. It is pretty pigmented though, so a light hand is best. The packaging is skinny enough to put in pretty much any purse, and the magnetic closing is strong enough so it doesn't leave pink powder anywhere. And, of course, like most products of the brand, it looks really cute. Price isn't too bad either.

Lovely.

I picked this up at a whim while tagging along on my friend's mega-shopping spree. I swatched this and fell in love with the color, and quickly bought myself one. I don't pick up a lot of lipglosses, or nude lipcolors, both of which this particular product was. I don't regret it though. The color is beautiful, and the range is undoubtedly very wide and very pretty. It goes on like a dream(so yay to reapplications), isn't very sticky (Which I love), and doesn't feel too heavy on my lips. It does come with a hefty price though, about 90 in my country's currency (around $30). Don't know about repurchasing, but I definitely don't regret spending the money I did.

Quickie Product

I quite like this and was very happy to find it at Sephora. I got Midnight Blue because it was a little different from the usual black or brown eyeliners, still being versatile to use in different looks and occasions. It works as a cream eyeshadow and eyeliner, with a soft but not-too-creamy kind of consistency. I find it requires a little smudging at the edges, but that's not too much of a pain. And it isn't waterproof, and comes of very easily (and cleanly) with water and a bit of tissue, which is a pro or con depending on personal taste. Personally, I like it. The color can be built up to be a little more opaque, which I like. And, it comes with a little sharpener at the bottom, which is just lovely. Can't wait to try the other shades!

ERR.

I wanted to like this, because its Benefit (which I love) and the packaging is tres cute. But it turned out to be a disappointment. My dark circles didn't fade in the slightest. It wasn't very moisturizing. And it broke me out. I apply this by patting a small amount on the area surrounding the eye, and I find that area tends to itch after I use this, and red spots begin to appear. Moreover, the product itself seemed to shrink in the jar, and turned more yellowish in color. Pricey too. Trashed it.

Love Love Love!

The pigmentation is lovely and the color is gorgeous! It's not overly drying, but a moisturizing lip balm makes the world a better place. I grab this when I'm too lazy to decide which lipstick to carry with me. The price is kind on the wallet too. Definitely worth every cent and more. Repurchasing for sure!

GO TO brushes

I bought these brushes when I started exploring makeup application techniques. The prices of MAC brushes were intimidating, and getting a set seemed like a great way of starting out. Honestly, I don't regret it. They've served me very well.

Quality is great, comparable to MAC I would say. It falls out a little, but not much. It's soft to the touch and applies wonderfully. Not to mention, the colors are a breath of fresh air to the usual, admittedly boring handles. The price may seem a little steep at first, but considering you get 12 brushes and two brush holders, I'd say it's a bit of a steal in comparison to numerous other brushes in the industry.

All in all, I love these brushes, and will use them for years to come.

I have this is Surge (which isn't listed), but it's a molten pewter, somewhere between gold and silver. And while this looks amazing swatched, it creases ridiculously and is a little hard to incorporate into wearable looks. So I can't even decided on an opinion. But the texture is great, its smooth and pigmented. But it's really expensive, and is definitely one of those luxurious products that you only use for special occasions or creative makeup looks.

LOVE!

These things are amazing! Packaging is adorable (even if it isn't the most practical) It really moisturizes my lips. & It smells AMAZING. One downside is that I found the staying power really weak, I have to reapply every hour or so, but then again with the packaging and fresh smell, I really can't say I mind. And it lasts FOREVER. I don't even know if i should be happy about that because I can't find the end of the first one I've been using, I haven't been able to try the other flavours!
