Beauty Product Reviews

Protects Damaged & Dry Hair

I'm typically a skeptical person when it comes to hair care products. After sampling this product with very low expectations, I immediately bought it a few days later. I don't think I ever truly realized just how dry my hair is until I started trying more products like this. I apply a quarter sized amount into damp hair and it absorbs right in and leaves zero residue after my hair is finished drying. Once dry, my hair appears healthier, shiner, and even feels stronger. After bleaching and color-treating my hair, this was exactly what I needed to get that soft and healthy texture back. I am currently using this in combination with the Oribe Balm D'Or and they work wonderfully together. I highly recommend these products to anyone with heat/color damaged or dry hair.

I found that this product truly leaves an extremely soft and airbrushed look on top of makeup. I would like to try this in one of the other shades as well to see how those fare in comparison. I enjoy the texture of this powder as it feels completely weightless and doesn't disturb the other products on my face. The only thing I will say is that if you prefer your skin to FEEL extra matte after applying your face powder, you may be better off with the RCMA No Color Powder or the By Terry Hydra-Powder. Don't get me wrong, this powder still leaves your makeup matte and doesn't show oiliness, but it FEELS weightless and extremely natural on the skin. Overall, I would use this again, but for longer days I would likely grab another option to ensure no oiliness appears in my T-zone area by the end of the day.

Great cruelty free nail lacquer

I really love every product I've ever tried from this brand, but I figured it makes a lot of sense for me to take note on their polishes because I'm the kind of person that has WAY too many nail polishes at home (enough that I could open my own nail salon if I wanted to lol). That being said, I've used many different brands of nail lacquers and I really really am loving these ones from OCC. I enjoy the simplistic packaging and the formula glides on my nails very smooth and easily (very opaque as well). I dislike when nail polishes give those little bubbles when you apply it, and this formula has not done that for me thus far. I have 3 colors of this line and I plan to get more soon! Also they're vegan and cruelty free so that's reason enough for me. :)

Blush of my dreams

Wow so all the shades of these blushes are stunning, but Snapdragon looked too perfect to pass up on. This blush blends wonderfully with my contour or bronzer, and the subtle shimmer is so perfect for summer and makes my face look bright and luminous without being glittery. I like it also because I find that matte blushes can sometimes make my skin look a little flat/dry (especially in the warmer months). Photos truly don't do any of these shades justice, they are all so unique and look gorgeous on the skin.

Found my dream mascara

I LOVE this product! I'm so selective with my mascaras and I've tried ones from all ends of the price spectrum. This will be the one I repurchase again and again for a long time, I can already tell. The brush is big and curved, making your top lashes voluminous and helps curl them too! The top of the curl also makes doing your bottom lashes easy. This isn't waterproof for anyone wondering, but I try to avoid waterproof mascaras anyway, so that's a plus for me. This mascara isn't drying to your lashes in any way, so it absolutely won't crumble or flake throughout the day. Anyway, if you're curious about this mascara, just try it! You'll be very happy with it. :)

fun!

To agree with Shanita's review, there should be color descriptions for these lil guys. I promise you can't go wrong with any of them though, as they are all incredibly pigmented and beautiful, I own about 5 or 6 now. Even if there were color descriptions, I still feel that they wouldn't do these colors justice to how they appear in person (seriously though, they would still help a lot). My favorite way to use these is on top of a white or black eyeliner to really make it pop! For this technique, I highly recommend the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils cause they are inexpensive and will last a long time (I use the white shade, Milk).

No matter what your makeup vices are... This will remove them all!

This stuff removes almost any makeup formula I've thrown in its path. I don't wear waterproof mascara, so I'm not sure how effective it is in that respect, but I imagine combining with an oil would take it off extremely easily. I love Bioderma and will continue to use this as my makeup remover because it gets the job done and is really gentle on my sensitive skin.

Looks and Feels Natural

The only reason I am not giving this product 5 stars is because I prefer a more dramatic effect from my mascara. While this mascara will not give you the fake lash look, the formula feels very comfortable and soft once it "dries". It is not a drying mascara at all and leaves your lashes looking like a darker more emphasized version of how they look naturally. I've also found that the formula doesn't transfer to my lids from blinking after being dry either. The brush is nice too in that it does prevent clumping from occurring and has a nice shape to get both your upper and lower lashes. If you are in the market for a high quality mascara that gives subtle lash definition without looking too dramatic, you will love this product!

Not as Bright as in the Photo, but Still Gorgeous

This liner glides like a dream, and doesn't pull or tug when I use it at all. I love using this shade in my waterline, especially for summer! Brightens up my eyes with a cute pop of color since the yellow isn't too harsh like it looks in the photo. I haven't noticed any smudging with this color in particular, I have yet to try other shades to know if darker colors do. Another thing I like to do is take a small liner brush and pick up some of the color from the liner for more detail work, like adding a pop of yellow above or below my black wing. It's very opaque and smooth, and you can definitely tell that it's yellow (just not taxi yellow like in the swatch photo).

Set the Brow

While I think my personal preference is the Clear Brow Gel, the tinted ones definitely serve their purpose! I would recommend this to anyone with sparse brows whether they fill them in or not, because the tint adds volume and definition to each hair and definitely holds them in place. If you fill in your brows and still feel like you need a little extra definition, use this to set your powder/pomade. Even wearing this tinted gel on it's own will provide a lovely "your brows, but better!" look.
