Works amazingly well!

I was a little scared of this product because my last experience with any kind of hair removal cream was back in the 90s with Nair, which was terrifying all around. This is an entirely different thing though - in less than 10 minutes, with minimal sting and no horrible smell, it completely removed the hair on my chin, upper lip, and even my sideburns. I'm never waxing again!

If there were ever a brush worth $200 - it's this one

Let me start by saying I've been working on collecting a large range of Hakuhodo brushes since I discovered the brand a few years ago, and this one is my latest acquisition. I am so incredibly happy with it - the quality is, like every other Hakuhodo brush, unequalled in any other line of makeup brushes. The softness, denseness and precision are incredibly, and the natural fibers pick up and deposit product rather than moving it around your face like cheaper synthetics do. It goes without saying that each handcrafted brush NEVER sheds, bleeds, or gets rougher or dryer, or shrivels in the slightest.

There are no brushes out there with quality like this, and if you're serious about makeup application (especially if you, like me, make money off of it!!) then I HIGHLY encourage you to try out Hakuhodo. I'd go with anything in the S100 line, but start at one brush at a time, because yes, they are extremely pricey. Worth every penny though, I promise you!

Not great for oily skin

I was pretty disappointed in this foundation given all the great reviews its gotten - I was looking for a great full coverage foundation that was easier to apply than a liquid since I often put my makeup on at work. Sadly, this foundation seems to break up and fall apart on oily skin. It doesn't last the day on me at work, which is a bummer because the coverage is great. I also noticed that it has a kind of unpleasant smell - chemically and hard to get past.

Great coverage but tends to get oily

I recently rediscovered this in my makeup drawer and I've been trying it out for the last couple of days. There are a lot of things I really, really like about it: the form is super convenient (no pumping liquid out onto your hand, etc etc), and the coverage is really great. It's very thick and creamy, and feels great to put on. I also like that it's very easy to blend out and it somehow manages to be both full coverage and natural looking. Finally, I always feel like I won the lottery when I find a foundation that's a match to my very, very, very pale skin (NW10 for MAC is almost too dark...)

The major problem I have with this foundation is that I have pretty oily skin, and after just a few hours of wear, this foundation seemed to start breaking down. I really couldn't make it the whole day without blotting, and it was really pretty bad. Even using powder a couple of times during the day the oil just seemed to really go nuts.

Bottom line: if you don't have oily skin, this is a fantastic full coverage foundation you should try! I'm going to keep trying with different primers, but sadly I'm afraid this isn't for us oily skin girls.

Perfect and comfortable to wear

I have this pencil in the color "Never Say Never" - its a beautiful, soft rose violet that I wear to work nearly every day. The color is feminine while still being subtle and appropriate for a very conservative workplace. In general, the pencils are really amazing - even though they're a matte finish product they're not drying at all and they're extremely comfortable to wear. The color is opaque in one swipe and I also noticed that there's very little color transfer from the lips onto glasses or straws etc. As a result, these are really, really long wearing products. All around I think these pencils are some of the best lip products on the market, and I can't wait to pick up a few more!!

Amazing

The entire Tatcha line is really just magical - every aspect from the product itself to the packaging to the light floral scent is just an amazing experience. I have very oily skin but none of my cleansers removed my makeup at te end of the day, so I finally tried this oil - it works like magic. Every trace of makeup is gone, my skin is soft and clean, and never feels right or dry or stripped. I can't recommend this enough, I know it's pricey but it's worth it - investing in skin care of this quality is sure to pay off for the rest of your life!

HG Mascara <3

I have light brown/red eyelashes that are wispy and straight and they get lost/seem to disappear even with mascara. I don't know what magic this is but this mascara is completely different - I don't even have to use more than one coat and my lashes look very black, long, and thick, and it actually holds the curl *all day*. I love that I can use it on my bottom lashes and even after long work days and hot weather it doesn't smudge even a tiny bit by the end of the day. I think this is the best mascara on the market and definitely worth the price!

Awesome product but poor packaging

I love this product - it's the perfect finishing touch for an eyeshadow look because it can either give just the hint of shimmer when lightly touched on or it can add unbelievable sparkle with not too much product. It's great alone too, and in fact I've even mixed it with clear lip gloss for a holiday party look. As far as I can tell it doesn't crease, and even though it's liquid it has never messed up my underlying eyeshadow when I applied it - plus it has zero fallout and lasts through the day or night. The gold color is pretty but the diamond shade is more than silver, it has a beautiful, ethereal irridescence that I've never seen a dupe for.

My only complaint about this product is the packaging - it's really bad. It's not so much the dropper that bothers me (though as a previous reviewer said, it's annoying), it's that the sparkle pigment settles in the liquid when you aren't using it, and then it kinda stays clumped up down there at the bottom of the glass bottle and you have to shake it all over the place and try to break it up with the dropper... it's pretty irritating.

Really disappointing & inconsistent

I know a lot of people love these palettes and maybe I'm just doing something wrong, but I was so disappointed when I tried to use this. I've tried several times actually, and I've found that the different colors are of very inconsistent quality. Some are very pigmented (the white gold in particular, and the magenta), but then the dark purple is so dry and stiff it barely shows up even after packing it on. The white gold in particular is extremely powdery, so just swiping my brush across it a couple of times left it looking destroyed. The fallout from that shadow and the light pink one too, is so bad it's ruined my makeup several times. I don't know if I just got a defective palette or what, but for the price I was extremely disappointed by this product, it seems like they barely put any effort into quality control with it. Which is heartbreaking, because it looks *gorgeous*.

Perfect cross between lipstick and lipgloss

I'm one of those girls who absolutely has to wear both lipstick AND lipgloss, so I am really happy this product saves me a space in my makeup bag by being both! These are really amazing - they are a hybrid between a liquid lipstick and a lipgloss, they are very shiny like a gloss but way more pigmented than most glosses. I love that the colors are intense and almost opaque, but with just enough sheerness to look natural and light. Plus they are incredibly comfortable to wear and not sticky or tacky at all, and they last a lot longer than any lipgloss I've ever tried. The only downside I've found is that they do tend to feather quite a bit, but that's easy to solve with either a lipliner of coordinated color, or a clear lip line perfecter (which is what I use).
