Viva Glam Lady GaGa 2

No. 2 is the taupe one and I have to say I love it.

When I left my previous job, I was given a gift voucher to spend in Debenhams, where there is a MAC shop… I died and went to heaven. I knew I wanted to try the Viva Glam after watching an interview with GaGa and she said that it will go with any skin tone… This is very true. I am pasty pale of the palest origin, but to avoid 'concealer lips', all you need is a light swipe of this lipstick, and then blend it out with a brush, or your finger if you're on the move with no brushes handy. My natural lipcolor is quite pink, so with a light layer of this, this softens down my natural lip tone to help draw attention to a more dramatic eye if necessary. The texture is a gorgeous, creamy dream and it smells like vanilla, one of my favourite scents. If I had to criticise it, because of the nature of the pale color, if your lips are anyway slightly chapped, this will show up so before applying, make sure your lips are kissable, soft and smooth. If they're not, I'd go for a different color - I can't always wear it with the nature of my job, going from warm to cold environments a lot, which dries out my lips. This was my first MAC lipstick experience and I intend on repeating this again and again :)

Perfect for a night out!

I'm on the left.

I don't wear fake tan… or I didn't until I saw pictures of my looking more white than Caspar on a night out. On recommendation to the tanning goddess that is my friend, she recommended this to me. I was instantly put off by the price but as she put it in my basket, she simply said, 'Trust me.' She also popped a self-tanning mitt into the basket to rub the product into my skin as 'its the easiest and mess-free way'.

This stuff is amazing!!! I got this in light glow, as I mentioned before that I am very pale, and I didn't look like I was wearing tan, but that I looked like I was a healthy color. There isn't the 'biscuity' smell that is usually associated with fake tans and it gives off a nice shimmer that most people obtain by using a shimmery body powder. When I say shimmer, I don't mean Cullen shiney, I mean a very subtle shimmer that mimics the way your natural skin would have, except a tad more exaggurated.

I didn't show up streaky, I had a drink spilt on my arm and I didn't begin to melt away and it didn't really rub off on my clothes, apart from around the back of my neck, where I was getting very warm and was moving my head around. in saying that, it wasn't rubbing off badly, but it more looked like there was a bronzer rub-off after wearing it all day as opposed to around 5 hours of dancing. It also covered the few stretch-marks I have on my shoulders, as I am quite top-heavy.

I would definately recommend this to anybody who objects to fake-tan but needs to wear it to look less corpse-like in photos!

Short Shorts

I got this on recommendation from xSparkage and I eternally thank her! The color is amazing for highlighting your eyes for a warmer look because of the golden shimmer. It instantly warms up any eye look! The packaging is really pretty.

Worth the money

You don't need a lot of this to spread across your face. The silicone base fills in any fine lines (I have one across my forehead that I'm paranoid about) and the light reflecting compounds make it perfect for to wear under foundation for a special event where you're going to be on film or where there's going to be a lot of flash photography.

Light, dewy and perfect

I love this foundation - I have redness in my cheeks and when I put this on, its like my skin is clear as night. Unset, it has a dewy, fresh look and it gives the option of leaving it unset and to use other gel/liquid blushes. It also had SPF 15 to help protect your skin against sun rays and city pollution.

Love these colors

My favs are Lava, Picasso and Midnight Purple.

The creamy texture makes a little go a long way and the mini brush is a good one. However, I generally tend to use the SmashBox Arced Liner Brush 21 for when I need to make the perfect catflick.

Amazing

It's just at the perfect angle to get as close to the lash line as humanly possible and makes the product sweep on like a dream. Really good for gel eyeliners!

Yeyo and Asphyxia

Asphyxia is the pink on the left - it comes out a little pale but I imagine that it will darken up when its wettened. Yeyo is the white/silver on the right - um, WOW! I had only expected this to be a sheer shimmer for highlights and it came up a beautiful snowy, white-silver color.

I'm agreeing with everyone else here… this brush is a problem. They're too stiff or something… I think I'll transfer these over into other pots.

Its good but...

I have issues…

Why put flakes of glitter in Uzi, Kiddie Pool, Oil Slick and Grifter when they fall out when applied!?!?!

I, however, LOVE Flash and Flipside and for a super, sexy naked smokey eye, Midnight Cowboy, YDK, Half Baked and Twice Baked are my go-to colors!

<3 this

This was my first experience with Urban Decay and it was a christmas gift from a good friend. I love this palette - its a good mix of colors for both day looks and night looks.
