Sheer but buildable colour

Being a newbie into the world of blush, I had more than a few misgivings when the SA in Sephora recommended "BANG" to me. It looked incredibly bright and scary in the pan but after swatching, I decided to give it a shot.

Like it says on the tin, it glides onto the cheeks like a dream and imparts a subtle sheen of colour which you can build up with ease. Being a little slapdash with my make-up in general, I was happy to find that I could move it around a little before it set into my foundation.

My complexion's oily and this product lasts quite a while without a touch-up which means it's a winner in my book.

I was so pleased with this product that I've bought "CRUSH" as well. These cheek tints have since replaced my powder blusher. For now at least.

I also use these as a tint over some lip balm.

Amazing

I've always avoided lipstick because no matter how moisturising they claim to be, I always end up with dry, flaky, lips. Not a good look on anyone. I've always assumed that I was allergic to something in lipstick or that I just wasn't meant to rock a bold lip.

Then my friend insisted I try Rouge Artist Intense. I was still leery but I am a big fan of MUFE and I gave it a shot. It only took her 3 years to talk me into it. Hah.

I fell in love, instantly. The colour payoff is AMAZING and the way it feels on my lips is phenomenal. And wonder of wonders, there's absolutely NO flaking or drying even after having it on the entire day. Another plus? The colour doesn't need to be reapplied even after a full day.

I absolutely love these lipsticks. Maybe I'll try others in the future but, for now, this is the only one I'll wear.

Love it.

It imparts just the right amount of moisture. Not too oily or gunky. It has just the right touch of menthol. "Rhubarb" is the perfect shade for me, too. It gives my lips a sheer wash of natural-looking colour.

Smells like cookies!

My lips don't react well to any sort of colour. Even most tinted lip balms can turn them into a flaky mess so I was rather leery when a friend gave it to me as a gift. I decided to give it a try anyway and immediately fell in lurve.

The pink shade is very becoming on most complexions (I have a few friends who're fans of this product, too) and the gel formulation helps to give lips a plump, line-free appearance.

It's not too sticky but it lasts a fairly decent length of time, considering.

You get a lot of product in the tube which helps since the yummy scent will have you wanting to reapply again and again. Cookies! I like cookies.

Will NOT budge!

These creams are easy to apply with my fingers. They don't crease and they don't move. Seriously. Even with my ridiculously oily lids and the humid weather that, more often than not, has me sweating when I'm running from place to place during the day.

The packaging may seem cheaper when compared to the MAC Paintpots but I appreciate the lighter jars, especially since I'm often on the road.

Would be great if they added some matte shades to their Aqua Cream repertoire though. Otherwise, this product is pretty much perfect for my needs.

Best Concealer Ever

Blessed with oily, blemish prone skin, I've been searching for the perfect concealer for what seems like ages. Every concealer I've tried just didn't seem to provide enough coverage for the dark spots that are the results of my monthly breakouts. (Curse you, adult acne!) My oily skin just seemed to exacerbate the problem. Everything I put on just slid right off, even with primer, foundation, the whole shebang. Living in a tropical climate probably doesn't help either. Since I discovered this, though, I've managed to leave the house in just primer and a few dots of concealer. Color-matching is awesome and all I have to do is just dot and blend it out. If a little extra coverage is needed, I just leave it to dry for a bit and just add another layer. It doesn't cake or crack. I don't need to use much, either. A tube has been known to last me 8 to 9 months.
