MILAN FASHION WEEK S/S 2012
Makeup

MAC Face & Body Foundation was lightly applied to perfect skin. MAC Metal X Cream Shadow in Fusion Gold (available Spring/Summer 2012) was blended over upper cheekbones, bridge of nose and chin to mimic hot, sweaty skin. MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork was blended under the apples of cheeks with a MAC 188 Small Duo Fibre Face Brush. MAC Fix + was misted onto sides of the face at line up. MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork was blended around the entire eye for a shadowed effect. MAC Eye Pencil in Coffee was applied through the waterline for depth. MAC Eye Shadow in Coquette and Copperplate was used with MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush to create full brows. MAC Lipstick in Freckletone and Fresh Brew was pressed into the lips with fingers.

Nails

MINX created the nails for the Missoni show this season, a first for the Italian fashion house famed for its prints, colors, and family heritage. The nails used the exact same shades of the colors in the collection, but with a gentle fade and slight distortion, just like a Bakewell tart. The main colors were blue, yellow, and red, but were translucent to allow a MinxLusion base. The MinxLusion base is an exclusive, prismatic shimmery color that creates the irridescent shimmer that we're loving right now.

Missoni normally sends models down the runway with completely bare nails, but in conjunction with the bold colors and textures in the collection, a daring new nail was the perfect accompaniment.
