MAKEUP LARA STONE AT THE 2011 MET BALL
"The inspiration for Lara Stone's Met Ball look the 60's muse, Barbarella. Bronzed skin with a strong heavy black eyeliner and lashes.
I prepped the skin with a luxe moisturizing creme (Crème de la Mer) and a light application of Clé de Peau Beauté Refining Fluid Foundation SPF 24 in shade O20, which is a little deeper than her natural skin to enhance the sun kissed glow.
On eyes, I wanted it to feel very bare with simply a strong, sharp black line to enhance the shape of Lara's eyes; TarteEmphasEYES High Definition Eye Pencil was used. To ensure we gave her some larger than life lashes, I used MAC Zoom Lash Mascara in black and topped it off with MAC false lashes.
Since I didn't want to do a traditional nude lip, a la barbarella, I first applied Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer on the lip so that the gloss I was going to apply would be truer in color. I chose a petal pink lip gloss from Korres (Cherry Full Color Gloss in 01 light pink) just to give a hint of color.
The last thing I applied to finish the look was a bronzer that would also double up as a contour color (Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder inBlonde 01)."
