Hairstylist Mark Townsend kept hair elegant and understated for Minka Kelly at the 2011 Emmy Awards. He started by adding a few drops of Dove Nourishing Oil Care Serum to Minka’s damp hair, then blow-dried with a large round brush. 

Next, Mark took about a quarter size amount of Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Cream in his hands and rubbed them together. He raked his fingers through her hair. He loosely gathered her hair at the nape of her neck, braided it, and then looped the braid back up and pinned it into a messy chignon. Mark let some face framing layers fall out of the chignon for a soft, romantic effect. He sprayed Sally Hershberger Star Shine Spray for incredible shine, and finished the look with Dove Extra Hold Hairspray for all-night wear.
