HAIR EVAN RACHEL WOODS AT THE 2011 MET BALL
"Evan has an old Hollywood style, but she has the versaility to pull off something bold with a modern twist. To show off the fabulous diamond cut out on her plum colored Gucci gown, we decided to modernize a side twisted roll with a futuristic edge.
I prepped her hair with Phyto Volume actif on the roots on damp hair for flexibility and lift. I blew dry the roots up with a flat Mason pearson brush, working in texture at the root. I applied Phyto Pro Intense Volume Mousse to the mid shaft and ends and blew dry with the Mason brush leaving in some of the hair's natural texture.
I brushed all three sides to meet at the top, slightly to the right side of the head. Molding the ends over and under creating a french twist like roll from the hairline to the crown. Use hair pins to secure the roll to the base of the head. To mold the hair into a tube like shape I used the end of a toothbrush and blowdryer as I sprayed Elnett for hold."
