BEAUTYLISH New York Fashion Week Dispatch No. 1: James Vincent at Inglot Studios
Published Sep 6, 2012
Fashion week is back in New York City and Beautylish is taking you behind the scenes! We'll be with some of the best hair and makeup artists in the business, showing you a glimpse into the world of fashion week backstage. The main event kicks off tonight with Fashion's Night Out!
Yesterday was the calm before the storm. We caught up with James Vincent at the Inglot Studio in Chelsea, where he was doing makeup tests for one of the twelve upcoming shows he'll be keying this season. The studio was a makeup lover's dream come true, filled with every Inglot product you can imagine! The coolest part is the mixing station, where makeup artists can mix pure pigments to create a color that is uniquely their own. We swooned over all the amazing colors and had to swatch all of them!
James was busy testing an array of face charts and preparing a unique palette of colors designed for each show. Every makeup artist backstage will have the custom palette to use to create the looks for each show.
