Beautylish's Favorite March Moments

From ad campaigns to girls on the street, there are plenty of moments and images that inspire the Beautylish team. We love spotting new trends, discovering bold color combinations, and getting our creative juices flowing. Here's what inspired us during March.

"The awesome nails from the Illamasqua "Human Fundamentalism" were my favorite thing this month. I loved the color combination of purple, lilac and turquoise and the geometric shapes used in the design!"

"I've been trying to reorganize my makeup and have looked at so many images to help me figure out my stash gameplan. Currently, I store my makeup in a drawer set and apply everything on a desk I share with my computer and other non-beauty related items. I really want to turn my desk into a beauty station—no non-beauty items allowed! This picture is my dream bathroom. I love how clean and chic it looks, but it still has a vintage flare.”

"I'm completely obsessed with Jennifer Morrison's braided ponytail! The French braid in the front is perfectly polished, and then the braid wraps around the base of her ponytail—how chic! You could wear this to a wedding, the office, or even to the gym!"

"Whenever I wear a celebrity-inspired look or a social experiment out on the street, I always get the most amazing responses. The interaction keeps me motivated enough to experiment and write about them. The day I tried out Ke$ha’s studded look, a sassy construction worker stopped me in my tracks and asked me how and why I glued studs on my head. I told her about my story she got so excited about it, exclaiming "girl, that's HOT!" I loved talking to a woman wearing no makeup in construction gear about beauty. It was so inspiring!”

"One Monday morning, the lovely ladies from theBalm sent us their entire collection of Hot Ticket nail polishes. My desk was completely covered by bright, sparkling lacquers in every hue and finish. How could you not enjoy the work week?"
