Candice Lake's Beauty Snaps

Model tall with long blonde hair and perfect skin, Candice Lake (above) is so stunning that it's almost shocking that she gave up a life in front of the camera to step behind it, as a photographer. By chance, she stumbled upon the phenomenon that's known as street style photography, and now shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Glamour as well as her own beautiful website, candicelake.com. We caught up with the Beauty to chat about makeup must-haves while she was in New York for fashion week, and also got her to share some of the beauty trends she saw on the streets of New York.

"It sounds boring, but I really like a natural face," says Candice. "Because I'm so fair, I don't really wear too much makeup, just a touch of mascara sometimes and my favorite Tom Ford True Coral lipstick. I really believe that beauty comes from the inside, so I try to eat healthy and drink heaps of water. I guess that sounds like a typical model answer!" she says laughing. "My skin is really dry, so I moisturize all the time. I love, love, love Dr. Spiller's Hydro-Marin moisturizer. It comes in a blue bottle and it's absolutely amazing. I swear it changed my skin!" (For the record, Beauties, Candice's skin is so crystal clear it's almost criminal.) "I keep it simple and cleanse with Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser, which works really well for sensitive skin," she says. And when she travels? "I have a few airplane tips," says Candice. "I modeled for years so I was always flying. I always have a glass of red wine to calm me down, and I always eat the food—I know that sounds gross! And I'm addicted to Lucas' Papaw Ointment. I'm Australian, and it's a cult product for Aussies. I slather it all over my hands and all over my face at the beginning of the flight. I'm sure I look horrible and freak the air hostesses out, but it really works!"

And what were this street style Beauty's favorite looks during New York Fashion Week? "New York is one of my favorite cities in the world," she says. "I love bold lips, and I noticed so many of those on the street! It's got to be the biggest trend this season."
