Does it matter what scissors you use for trimming your hair?

I wouldn't reccomend trimming your hair with regular scissors! They aren't sharp enpugh and can give jagged lines, hair cutting shears work much better. They have some cheap ones at Sally's Beauty Supply☺️

You need trimming scissors. regular scissors will cause split ends.

Really they cause split ends?!?! I never knew that I've always just cut my bangs with regular scissors but I better go get some trimming scissors:)

It definitely matters. Regular scissors aren't sharp enough and they kind of tear at your hair as it cuts it and actually creates split ends. Get a pair of hair cutting shears from a beauty supply store.

I was told my a hair dresser as long as there hair cutting scissors it's fine, the difference with the cheap ones is after they get dull you can not use them no more, they get dull very fast,

Yes you are Michelle. So gorgeous! But seriously, it is not about the kind of scissors, it's more about how sharp they are. Thinning out your hair with regular scissors, causes split ends because of the angle you cut it in. The other ones, don't produce as many split ends because the cut tends to be perpendicular and it's way better to avoid split ends and have healthy looking hair.
