There's some really nice eyeshadow palettes I like at the moment but I'm
Not sure of I want to spend that much money at once? Opinions?

Yes. If I'm going to spend money on make up I'm going to spend it right. What eye shadow palette is it?

I have done it before to treat myself but not on a regular basis but that's just me and I usually buy things on sale or I will make smaller purchases more frequently rather than one big purchase - maybe if you do then just don't buy makeup again for a while? If it makes you feel better about spending so much.

It depends. I probably would but it depends on the quality and whether or not I feel like I'll use it because if I don't I sometimes feel guilty for using the money to buy one palette after I see another gorgeous one a few days later which I can't buy because I spent my money on the other palette. I'm really hoping I make sense...

GET THE MONARCH! Lol, sorry for the caps. But seriously, if you choose to just get one, go with that.

But to answer your original question, yes. I would definitely spend 100 $ if I wanted them bad enough. Then again, I do tonssss of "research" (reviews/videos) on a palette before knowing whether or not I really want something, to make sure the quality is worth what I'm about to pay and if I'll use all of the shadows rather than just three or four of them. :p.

^^I do the same

I spent waaaay more than that since the start of this year. If you're an MUA and need to spend then spend. If not then just get what you need now and what you don't need later xx

Absolutely! I do this often... BUT I wait for coupons or some type of benefit so I get more bang for my buck. I hate returning makeup because I feel like its such a waste, but I do always remember that returning products is always an option. I hate to do it, but if I'm going to dish out a pretty penny for an investment worthy makeup item, it better be worth the price. I try not to return makeup unless absolutely necessary, so I do tons of research by reading reviews and going to the store to swatch palettes for myself. If its from a brand I have purchased from before, it makes my decision easier-if the brand worked out well for me, I will definitely have an easier time repurchasing without much research, but if a brand was not so great for me, I will often take more time to consider the palette and do more research.

I only swatched Monarch so far but I do own Naked3. Though I didn't buy the Monarch Palette (yet?), I do have Kat Von D's LadyBird Palette and I actually really prefer her eyeshadow formulation to that of Urban Decay's. It may be because that KVD palette is all matte, so all of the shadows are buttery smooth and creamy, while I find the UD N3 shadow's to be more grainy due to their shimmer qualities, but even their matte N3 shades aren't as creamy and smooth as the KVD swatches I took. The Monarch Palette did feel as smooth as the LadyBird Palette though and its shimmer shades seemed a lot softer and creamier than UD;s Naked3 shadows. As far as colors go, the Monarch has a ton of variation in shades and finishes while the Naked3's rose toned shades can be quite similar looking (on my pale, pink skintone). The color options are quite different from one another, so ultimately its going to come down to which colors you would wear more often! Hope that helped a little bit and good luck choosing =)

Coming from the girl who spent $300+ at MAC once and $100+ at Sephora on the 30th, I can say yes, yes I would.

Agree with Michelle G! If you have the extra money and know you'll use them, why not?

Honestly I would never. Some makeup is just way over priced to me, good quality or not.

I have, haha.. When it comes to beauty products and vitamins, you often get what you pay for. NYX has great dupes though for much less.

I have spent $500 at once on makeup because it was tax time and I didn't have very good quality makeup so I bought all of my high end makeup and brushes at once I will show you everything I bought.

Yes! I just had that dilemma this week. I've been wanting to get UD's naked 2 and 3 since I'm loving my first naked palette. I've been waiting for the sale period and Sephora just had a 15% off so I didn't wanna miss it. I did put my order in the cart and gave it a night to sleep on it and think if I really need and will use it. The funny thing was I dreamt about it. So, the next morning I checked it out and now I'm waiting for my 2 palettes to arrive.
