Prom dress hair and makeup?

I want to do a side hairstyle but not sure what type and don't know what makeup to do because the dress is very red that it may stand out more than the makeup. So wasn't sure if I should do a smokey eye or like a neutral. Have sparkly silver shoes with it as well..

Well you could pull curled hair to the non embellished side, and pin up near your ear. If you wish, you can pin it so the ends can still fall near your shoulder. And I'd say a more Marilyn Monroe type of eye look, and a nude lip to keep it modern.
