Can someone tell me what products should be used to contour? How? And why?
Some say it's fine to contour with a bronzer, some others be like NOOO!
I am really lost. I'd love to start to contour my face but I wanna do it in the right way!
Thanks 💕

I use a matte brown to contour but it good to go with one with a greyish understood to achieve the shadow tht the contour is suppost to achieve. Now you can use watever you want but ppl say bronzer is the wrng item for thanks bc its more warm tone and it dosent give the "shadow" effect.

Best thing for you to do, is watch youtube tutorials.. That'll explain it so much better! The reason people say don't use bronzer is coz its usually got more of an orangey undertone and like everyone said above me it can sometimes be shimmery, thats becoz its used to put warmth into the face, so you apply it in places the sun would hit your face... ;) like a tan I guess! But contouring is working with defining shadows around your face to build more structure and dimension... so everyone says to use matte products with a darker or more greyer undertone! Sometimes if you use bronzer to try and mimic the shadows it looks weird coz you just have an orange shimmery line on your face HA :p.

What everyone else said. you can use contouring powder/cream or foundation/concealer that is cool toned about 1-2 shades darker than your skin tone. bronzer gives you a sunkissed look. contouring creates shadows. those are two completely different things, which obviously need different products to give the right effect. I don't know why people use bronzer to imitate a shadow, but I don't really care lol.

Look up laura geller shade and sculpt! I use it all over- eyes, contour, and when I'm fair it works great as a bronzer but without the orange or red color!

Personally I use a matte bronzer for contouring and I make sure that I blend it seamlessly with the rest of my makeuo.
