I'm done with bb creams because I have combination skin so it doesn't wear well on my skin. I would normally use bb cream and a lot of concealer to cover my facial redness. It would wear off in like 2 hours 😣 I just need a simple medium coverage foundation from the drug store to experience foundation so I can skip all of my concealing routines. I would appreciate recommendations! Thanks ❤️

A lot of gals are going to suggest Revlon ColorStay...AND FOR GOOD REASON. They have an oily/combination skin formula (I use it) and it works really well. It keeps my face matte all day, even though working in a hot kitchen all day and getting blasted from 200 degree steam from the dishwasher. It stays PUT. It has medium coverage and it covers the redness in my cheeks very well. I get a lot of compliments on how my skin looks like a china doll 😊 but I don't dare tell them that it's makeup, hehe. Just make sure you use a good primer first, and don't forget to moisturize!

You're welcome dear :) I find the best way to apply that foundation is with a brush, whether it be an angled Kabuki or the Real Techniques expert face brush.

You may want to try a CC cream to help get rid of the redness and help even out your skin tone. Asian brand Étude House in Glow gives a dewy finish while Silk is more matte. It's only light to medium coverage though but my skin imperfections have diminished greatly after about a month of using it. Been using less foundation and concealer since then. 😊

But for drugstore options, I agree wholeheartedly with Sheree H. -- Loreal True Match it is.

I found that maybelline matte mousse is a strong matte foundation that stays in place all day.I was impressed by the staying power and the fact it worked so well with the hourglass primer as well as any matte primer. It didn't budge.
