Hello honey buns,
Question of the day!
When it comes to makeup application, which do you think is more important: Technique or product? Why?
(Brushes not included.)
Xoxo,
Lola Symone 💋
P.s., both go hand in hand; it's so hard for me to choose!

Product. If you are using a dollar store eyeshadow it might not hold as well as something from the upper streets.

Technique. just having high end makeup can't make you a good artist.

I do agree that technique plays a role but what's a good technique when you use very crap products that doesn't show your true technique?

I see where you're coming from, Sabrina. but at the same time; I can give my brother the best products ever & my makeup would look terrible lol. & not all cheap options are terrible quality. I can't afford high end right now & my drugstore stuff is working great! just my opinion, though :)

That's now what I'm saying I mean a lot of low street products don't show the true technique of the artist.

Technique! I think a good artist is going to do whatever they can to do what they love even if the products aren't that great. However with brushes, products IS important! You don't want it to influence your technique. I don't think when it comes to eyeshadows or such that product is as important because if applied properly, somehow, that lipstick you got from your barbie kit when you were 7 is going to look great 😜

I think the technique. sure having the bestboroduct out will make everything easier but if your a master at makeup than you know all the tricks to use to apply and keep it on. I've seen some magnificent makeup artist tell me they're wearing cheap brands and it still looked amazing! if your super talented doesn't matter how " crap" the product is :)

I found it a tad rude to quite me about saying crap products. But oh well agreed.

Technique. If you have great technique you can probably make a terrible product work. Not saying it would last but if you have high end products with no idea how to use them... there is just no point!
