Renay said it best. Personally I rotate between both depending on what look I'm trying to go for and the weather. Drugstore bb that I love is Garnier BB cream for oily/combo skin and high-end...Bobbi Brown BB and CC creams.

BB Creams can have a lot of skin benefits and more then just sun protection, depending on the brand. If your fair skinned, or at least light skinned, you can use Asian brand BB creams which have said skin benefits.
I use the Dior BB creme (only thing I can find in my shade) and I love it. I've tried Garnier and it broke me out and the L'Oreal one left me gray and ashy like a zombie. The Dr.Jart one wasn't bad either.

I'm a bit fair so most to all bb creams are way too dark. Cc creams usually have a few more color choices along with SPF and skin benefits as well. That's why I go for cc.
