Nail Peeling And Lots Of Ridges.

All of my nails are really strong and and hard but one of my nails is honestky horrible, like it is covered in ridges like really big ones and on the side of my nail there is a small yellow patch but it isnt that noticable, also in thr last few days I've noticed that it seems to be peelijg, what an earth is going on?

It sounds like you may have an infection. Fungal tends to run green with blue tinges while bacterial brings on yellow. There are polishes used under the nail bed and on top that deter the bacteria from spreading. Tea tree oil works very well at tackling bacterial nail infections. You can find it at any drugstore. I'd apply a few times a day with a sanitary Q-tip. Be sure to use a nail brush to keep those lovely long nails clean as well. If it spreads or causes you concern or discomfort, I'd see my doctor.

Sometimes, wearing dark polish for an extended period of time can bring on a yellow tinge in some people. Soaking the natural nail (unpolished) in denture cleaner brightens yellowing nails. Best of luck to you!

I agree, Olivia. It doesn't sound like cause for alarm. Diligent application should nip this baby in the bud.
