I would just use a matte powder or eyeshadow that's 1 or 2 shades lighter than your skin tone.

Make Up Forever has contour kits with a matte highlight. So does Anastasia Beverly Hills.

you can also use a powder, or matte foundation/concealer to highlight with. just buy one that's 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone <- that's what I did :p

Laura Geller French Vanilla is not a shimmer nor is it a matte. It has a pearl-like sheen. I have mattes (highlighting down the nose) and I have shimmers for dramatic looks & nighttime looks. But FRENCH VANILLA is my fav, because its right in between which makes it so versatile. Its my Holy Grail. If I had to only have one highlighter in my life...this would be the one.
