When someone says "15 year old" what pops into your head? (E.g what makeup do you expect them to wear, what clothes, how they act, and what do you find inappropriate for one?)

The only thing I've recently noticed younger people doing since I've finished school is being rude to older people and rude to people in public in general. I was on the train the other day and this group of kids got on (probably 13/14) and they were sitting there the whole time being rude to this girl whose makeup was a little bit full on I must say but they were saying it directly to her in a public place, it just makes me mad to see people not respecting other people even if they're different, old, wear too much makeup, etc. Just people being judgmental and rude I suppose but I don't think you're either of those things so stick to what you're doing girl :) 💕

Agree with Jacqlyn. I don't think they should wear anything revealing or "sexy". too young for that in my opinion.

I would find them having lotsa teenage angst, rebellious "I know what I'm doing so don't tell me what to do" kinda attitude.

I honestly think it just depends on who exactly they are. A lot of people look at certain ages like 15 and think all kinds of things like y'all have said. But I know a lot of people who are that age who don't act in such ways or dress, and I see older people act as if there around that age. I don't think age has a dress code. I've seen older women wearing stuff that you would usually see teenagers wearing (very revealing stuff)

I think of high school and being at the awkward stage of figuring out who you are. I expect many to be insecure, a little angsty, and to come off as apathetic. I haven't come across many who have been very rude to others and I've counseled teens, so that's fortunate. I think it's more common that some are just unaware and unintentionally inconsiderate. I expect these things but I also think most want to be treated as adults and they should be for the most part so they can mature and become independent. Appearance-wise, I don't really expect them to wear anything in particular as they figure things out. I expect them to maybe be louder and more obnoxious in public, but for the most part the things I find inappropriate are things for them are things I find inappropriate for adults too.

I'm 15 and when someone asks me what I expect a 15 year old to wear (makeup wise) I can't really say anything because I wear a lot of makeup for a 15 year old.. But clothing wise, now a days, a lot of 15 and younger girls wear really short things at school and stuff and I feel that's inappropriate for their age!

As far as makeup I would think natural brows mascara a tinted lip gloss! I see far to many 14 & 15 yr olds with fake eyelashes & heavy contours lol don't get me wrong but I think at that age you should be getting comfy in your own skin :)

Well; I'm 15, pregnant. When people first find out my age they automatically think: does drugs, smokes and drinks every weekend. They think that just because I'm pregnant. When really I've never had a cigarette, never done drugs and only drink on special occasions with adult supervision. I wear almost a full face of makeup every day, and basically live in dresses, shorts and singlets. I've never been to a big party most teenagers carry on about and I've never been in trouble with the law. But because I'm pregnant most people I've just met think otherwise.

I understand how you can feel in the Australian society. People can be rather judgemental on young adolescents and pregnancies. You may be feeling down and just want you to know that you have a whole supportive community here on beautylish for support. You seem like a very mature 15 year old. It's just unfortunate that people are very judgemental...

If you're about to be a mom you're in a new category hahahaha you're not a 15 year old anymore, you're a mother. What other 15 year olds are doing / wearing / acting should be way below what you're doin!

I think teens and early 20's are a fun time to play around with clothes, makeup n hair like your favorite tv stars or pop artists. This is a time to really experiment and just have fun with it all!
