I have naturally black hair with deep brown red highlights. I dyed my hair about four weeks ago, and the colour has faded slightly. Tomorrow, I'm swimming, and I was wondering if the chemicals in the pool (namely chlorine) would make my hair colour unsightly.

I had highlights about 10 yes ago, went swimming, highlights turned green..like a light green. took 2 trips to salon for hawiann treatments. stylist assumed water was over chlorinated.

Ull be fine BC of dark colors n its been in 4 weeks - I'm just saying it can happen.

The red will strip off with the chlorine. you can use a leave in conditioner before gettin into the pool so it forms a barrier between the water and hair.

When my hair was bleach blonde a few years ago I went in a friends pool and came out with a green tint! not cute lol!

Thank you, ladies! The red just faded a bit, and became a lighter brownish-reddish colour. NBD XP.
