Questions on getting my hair dyed!

So I've dyed my own hair before but have never gone to a salon to get it dyed and I just have some questions

1. Should I go with dirty hair? I know at home you do but I don't want to look gross while their playing with my hair x(

2. My hair is naturally crazy curly. Should I wear it natural or would it matter?

That's all the questions I remember having so please help!

And any tips you could give me that would matter?
