It's called melasma and it's very hard to get rid of ,a dermatologist could prescribe stronger products that would help more than over the counter ,you must use products twice a day and use spf ,what are you using on it exactly?

That and a moisturizer won't fix that at all hun ,if you can't see a dermatologist the only thing that will help will be exfoliating with Alpha hydroxy acid and using retinol at night and a stabilized form of vitamin C or brightening peptide serum day n night and using spf daily and it will take months and you have to stick with it or it will come right back try Isomers C stem serum ,roc retinol ,and isomers dark spot liberator along with spf 30 daily

I agree with Traci. But birth control that contains hormones like the "pill" can majorly contribute to melasma. Just like how pregnant women are prone to it because of hormone changes.
