Buying concealer do you get a lighter shade than your foundation or the same shade? Same question for pressed powder! Lighter shade or same shade? (I'm using the fit me foundation so these questions are for the fit me concealer and pressed powder)

For the concealer, it all depends on what you want to do :
- If you want to cover up bad dark circles, you should buy a lighter shade and cover it with a powder of the same shade as your foundation. You can also do highlight and contour with a lighter shade.
- If you just want to cover up blemishes and dark circles, you should take the same shade as your foundation so it'll look natural.
For the pressed powder, take the same shade as your foundation because powder is to mattify skin, if you want to highlight you should buy a highlighting powder.

I always get a shade lighter because if I don't when I put powder over it makes that spot look darker. I know some may disagree but I find this works best for me.

I agree with Erica! Omg I thought it was just me. I'll look fine and once I go in with powder I turn orange! I've experienced it with like 30 different powders and foundations I think I'm just tooooo pale lol.

I had the same problem with just about every concealer and powder combo lol. I started getting lighter than my foundation concealers and it works so much better. mind you I am tanning now so I am like nw30-35 when I am naturally nw10. I know what you mean about not finding a concealer that is even light enough to begin with lol. cause even nw10, the lightest pro longwear concealer is nw15...which makes no sense lol.

Undereye concealer 1/2 to 1 shade lighter than foundation. Concealer for facial blemishes, same as foundation. But if youre in between shades, I'd go darker but only by a 1/2 shade or so. I prefer powder slightly lighter because powder has a tendency to oxidize & go darker.
