Hey ladies!! I'll be going to a gypsy sweet 15 birthday in two weeks. I just need some idea how their makeup is. I was thinking like bright colorful eye look , small stones around my eyes and a piece of jewelry on my head (not a headband) but the way I'm describing is more like an Arabic style? Ahh I'm confused lol help pretty please.

Hehe Thank you Lisa 😊. Hey Helen, I'm sorry I think I didn't write clear. The party will be Gypsy Style and they request me to dress like a gypsy. they advised me it's a colorful event.

I believe they are throwing back to another era in which fortune telling and traveling musicians/sales caravans were common. Take a page from old Hollywood. Liner, deep, red lips hoop earrings and a headscarf tied.
You could go the way of a coin laden headband and loose scarf covering the head and loose the hoops.
Or perhaps take a more Bohemian approach with a cotton, off shoulder lace front blouse, shawl and long, flowy skirt.

Haha I just realized you should probably confer with other friends before wearing anything that is costume-esque. I stand by my make up suggestion. ;)

I'd be really careful about throwing the word "gypsy" around, just fyi. A lot of people (not all, but many) find it to be a really offensive slur for Romani people. I have many Romani friends who have told me that to them, the word "gypsy" is really similar to the N word for African Americans.

No problem! It's something not many people are aware or sensitive about, but it's best to be aware of =)
